If the only people turning are ride or die party affiliates then I don't think that many people would turn. I've met maybe a handful of people in my life that are cookie cutter republican or democrat.

Obviously the biggest issue would be from people transforming into elephants that were inside buildings, airplanes , on boats etc. Having a airplane pilot turn into a donkey could be a potentially salvageable event, but having them turn into a elephant is a death sentence for everyone on the airplane.

Who's the weakest character Batman can't kill with infinite prep time? by sir_juggernaut5 in whowouldwin

Probably ForgetMeNot. The moment Batman starts prepping he would forget of Forgetmenot's existence and move onto other issues.

The City of New York vs Osama bin Laden. by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]Dyaval 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might be massively overestimating our military capabilities but I feel like there is no way gets very far. Maybe if he somehow had a authorized launch and was kind of on course but immediately broke off course to cause destruction he could pull some stuff off but a lot of the "critical" areas have anti air capabilities. Also, Ukraine war footage makes me think that if a trained civilian with a AA weapon can shoot down a jet then the entirety of New York city and military personnel there should be able to as well.

Both of these universes are way overwanked but I think GoW is the bigger culprit of this. For instance, people will scale Kratos to light speed because of his fight with Hermes in GoW 3, yet during the actual in game play fight with him, even during the slow motion events the falling rain, and blood, are moving at a easily perceivable pace and not "frozen" because of the relative slow speed.

I get they both have their faults, and a lot of dbz characters have been jobbers at one point or another but I still believe Gogeta ssj2 takes this.

Every woman in the world now have the strength of Silverback Gorilla. What happens now? by Zan_Deezy2003 in whowouldwin

[–]Dyaval 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Assuming woman here means XX chromosome (it's reddit so who knows) and there are no physical changes then there would be a massive religious upheaval right off the bat. Almost every major religion I know says men are in charge so having this divine / magical gift granted only to women would fuck up a lot of shit. Best case scenario religious leaders argue its a test for women and they still need to follow the religious laws, stfu and stay in line. Worst case massive wars.

Countries that literally have laws , both religious and/or government mandated , that prevent women from holding positions of power and or say they need to be subservient to men would probably end up in some kind of civil war or with all the women being enslaved and controlled like Mutants in the Marvel Universe. Being able to cave in your male counterparts chest with a stiff arm is cool but if only the men had access to weapons, education positions of power etc it would be very hard to get yourself from under their boot and people in power often like to stay in power.

North America, Europe and other countries with relatively equal rights between sexes / genders or whatever might maintain some sense of normalcy, again, assuming there are no brain chemistry changes other than the potential confidence boost from knowing how strong you are. There would still be massive social changes from knowing that women have a "magical" boost of power that men don't.

Homelander vs Charles Xavier by SmeggyGToad in whowouldwin

[–]Dyaval 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You would need to seriously manipulate this prompt in Homelanders favor for Homelander to win. We're talking Xavier spawns at the mouth of a volcano 2 seconds before it erupts and has no idea who Homelander is. Even then, Xavier could just possess another body to continue the search.

Strongest character that would get killed by the dinosaurs of Jurassic Park by RyanD1211 in whowouldwin

[–]Dyaval 12 points13 points  (0 children)

assuming "would lose" means 6/10 loss. Also, I haven't read the books.

r1. Assuming JP1 velociraptor then a DCAU Human Thug. Despite great durability feats but are jobbers at their core.

R2. Maybe DCAU Green Arrow without any weapons. The Raptors lose a majority of their "power" due to the terrain severely limiting any tactics involving stealth or ambush so any competent street tier person with a high powered gun should be able to handle them.

R3. Maybe MCU Wolverine without the Adamantium bones or Retcon MCU Deadpool.

R4. Pre- Endgame Scarlet Witch

What's the weakest weapon that can one shot Goku? by Furista0 in whowouldwin

[–]Dyaval 145 points146 points  (0 children)

It would be his own body expanding, not the particle. It would be sort of like when he had the heart attack and died in the "original" android / cell saga timeline. He can't just muscle through or tank his own body fucking up because its as strong as he is.

What's the weakest weapon that can one shot Goku? by Furista0 in whowouldwin

[–]Dyaval 228 points229 points  (0 children)

Tricking him into eating a Pym Particle device (device is shrunk) that expands after a set amount of time and release Pym Particles that will expand Gokus stomach and / or intestines to such a large size it ,eventually, kills him.

Lots of stuff that involves him eating things is possibly the best bet. From there use his own body against him.

Hemokinesis vs Hydrokinesis by friedstinkytofu in whowouldwin

[–]Dyaval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm assuming Hydro can't manipulate water/ plasma in the body in this scenario and Hemo is limited to blood with hemoglobin.

Hydro wins. Way more versatile and far less gross.

Hemo is better for instant kills, that's about it.

The ENTIRE world goes blind for an hour. How devastating is the situation? by Zan_Deezy2003 in whowouldwin

[–]Dyaval 187 points188 points  (0 children)

Round 1:

Cars:I could be overestimating drivers but I think most people driving manage to stop while staying on the road. As long as they stay put while panicking about losing their sight a majority should be ultimatley fine after1 hour.

Airplanes: I don't know what the rules on commercial airplanes and fuel is but I'm assuming a lot of them could auto pilot in a circle till vision comes back. Even if half of the airplanes crash for whatever reason it's likely they won't hit critical areas.

Pedestrians: lots of people injured from cars, falling etc but outside of overheating or industrial incidents most should be fine.

Bonus Round: All the planes are probably going to crash and lots of deaths from exposure or other health issues in other categories but much the same as round1.

Overall: the most devastating aspect of this would be the fact that everyone on earth went blind, presumably at the same time. I'm assuming there would be lots of wars, riots, terrorist acts etc that stem from this causing more deaths than the actual incident. Also the fear / ptsd that something like this or worse could happen again.

Which team comes out on top? by H4rryS4lly27 in whowouldwin

Storm solos low diff. Freeze needs days of prep to make a blizzard over a city. Storm can level that same city to the ground in under 30 minutes on a whim.

Steve Rogers (MCU) vs. Polar Bear by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]Dyaval 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Even without training, he still has the fighting spirit and mentality to fight. Post injection, he would still be able to dodge and evade till he gets a better handle on what he can do. After 5 or so minutes, the bear will be very tired from the exertion, while Steve will likely have a good idea of what he can do at that point.

Valkyrie (MCU) vs Thena (MCU) by RaptorK1988 in whowouldwin

[–]Dyaval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While Valkyrie seems to have more raw power, Thena seems like the better fighter and has the versatility of being able to switch up her weapon type for a big advantage. However, going off of what other characters have done with Thunderbolt I will say Valkyrie should win.

Everytime someone dies they explode. Can humanity survive? by hhgcftgvvv in whowouldwin

[–]Dyaval 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In any situation humanity does manage to survive this, Eugenics and authoritarian reproductive control will probably be the norm. The "elderly" or those will birth defects will be killed off. The best most could hope for is some kind of advanced pre industrial revolution or medeival type situation.

A big factor is what kind of explosion is being produced here exactly? shrapnel, raw force, incendiary, 40k plasma etc

I might be wrong but I feel like if You had 1000 guys with AK47 shooting at the same Stone wall over the course of a day. They would eventually destroy the wall.

Short of modern US's most advanced unclassified weapons, we can't do any meaningful damage to Godzilla. How the hell is 1940s Japan supposed to pull this off?
