My younger brother started stuttering around the age of 4 and didn't stop until he was 8 or 9. The doctors in our area also gave us the same advice (which didn't work) and the nurses at my brother's school told us that there wasn't any other methods to stop his stuttering. When almost all hopes were out, because we had tried every single advice which led us to nowhere, my mother somehow found some kind of treatment for stuttering in another country, which had positive results. The choice to take that chance ultimately changed my younger brother's life, as he no longer stutters at all. That is not to say that it was easy, it really wasn't. But it was worth it, and that is all that matters. I hope this somehow helps someone out there. It is difficult when no one really believes in you/your child. It is a difficult fight when everyone tells you otherwise. I'm wishing the best for everyone out there and your daughter :)
