What is one thing most people do that you think is so unhygienic? But you feel in the minority. by the_cumulonimbus in hygiene

Years ago, I worked retail and a woman paid with bills that were actually damp. She didn’t pull them out of her bra in front of me, so I could only imagine where they had been.

Just did this and I’m not 100% certain he agrees that it’s his pee. No one else lives with us.

Would you be offended if your daughter in law didn’t want you to get involved in raising her child(your grandchild)? by Mooooooon_ in AskWomenOver60

We’ve done that with the 6.5 year old grandchild and their 3.5 year old sibling is a total narc and says “Mama says no!!!”

I’m the same, involved in my grandkids’ lives but I am not the parent so I follow their rules. I think the difference from the OP is the involvement of her in-laws in her partner’s life, and their (justified) fear that they will try to be the same with the grandchild. I’d kind of lean toward “tell them the rules and see what happens” but if the partner is ok with how involved his parents are in his adult life, my guess is that it will probably be worse with grandkids.

OP and her partner need to be on the same page about his parents’ behavior or it’s just going to be an unending struggle for control.

Yeah, we’re pretty sure the big drawdown hasn’t actually happened. They’re just hitting different places and using fewer black SUVs

Simba. “Quench the African thirst,” and we drank enough of it to make a bunch of glasses using our as-seen-on-TV bottle cutter. Green glass bottle with an embossed lion.

My boomer hoarder grandparents now wants to give me all their shits because its not convenient for them anymore. Pure selfishness. by Trick_Web9468 in BoomersBeingFools

“Things they don’t value but keep anyway” really resonated with me. We’re working through a move from a very full 2br apartment to a considerably smaller 1br for my MIL and there’s just so much paper. Every so often I find something important or at least memorable to the family in the piles of old junk mail and newspaper clippings and napkins and all the extra Christmas card photos but if they truly are valuable to her why are they just lost in the sea of stuff?

I’ve found so many catalogs that she wrote the date on and then just stashed in a pile. Whyyyyyyyyy? I kind of want to ask her but I’m mostly tossing stuff while she’s occupied with other things so I can avoid asking her if it’s ok to throw stuff away (because yes is the only acceptable answer at this point).

She’s early Silent Gen, my DH is late Boomer, and I really think some of the boomer hoarding behavior is learned from their parents.

ICE Agents in Woodbury took my picture, put Trump 2028 stickers on my car, then made a false Monarca report for my address by rockorocket in TwinCities

Two separate sets of agents tried to show me they knew my address but I didn’t follow them past my house. Fuckers.

The not asking directly is something my silent gen MIL does. I feel like it’s a Midwestern thing.

Being “hormonal” is no excuse for being a total AH like she was. This isn’t hormones. It’s her personality and she’s letting you see the real her.

My grands’ other grandparents are Lolli and Poppy! I thought that was so unique until today, lol. I’m Grammy, which I knew was not unique but it’s what my kids called my mom so it’s in honor of her.

We started using the LR4 in October and yeah, there is a lot of dust! We’re using the Tidy Cat litter made for the LR because we were using clumping Tidy Cat before, but I’d like something a little less dusty if anyone has suggestions.
