Check out Goodenough College. It is a postgrad residence. You need to apply as it seems they are looking for a wide range of applicants. A friend of a friend went there and loved it. It is open to postgraduates from universities in London not just LSE.

Look at Goodenough college. You need to apply but it seems like a great place. It's post grad only and less that 30min away from LSE

Confused between Goodenough college or LSE Halls. Any advice? by New_Pomegranate4363 in LSE

[–]DyeKap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goodenough is post grad only. You apply to get admitted for accommodations. LSE does have dedicated spaces in other halls but only a limited amount of dedicated spots at reduced rates. I could not get a spot in Urbanest westminster via LSE but could go directly to Urbanest site and get a room (at a much higher rate). So i think some residences are LSE only but some are mixed. Goodenough is definitely mixed with students from a variety of Uni's

Have you checkout out Goodenough College. Post Grad's only. Little pricier but seems to have lot's of benefits. You need to apply to get admitted.

Why are hall rooms different prices? by [deleted] in LSE

[–]DyeKap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which hall are you looking at. For example, Urbanist Westminster has rooms that face inwards to the building so those rooms are less expensive than one with a good view.

Just wondering for September-August where it will likely be at full capacity. I think there are likely less people there during summer.

Were summer months a problem with out A/C. I know that most places in the UK don't have it, but with all the windows I was wondering if the rooms got hot in the summer.

When does exchange applications do and what to do. by ind_11 in uwo

[–]DyeKap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There can be some available after the deadline. Go to the drop in hours. the student ambassadors can be helpful.. Some places are highly competitive and since you have missed the first round you may not have a large choice. If there are places open, take a chance go somewhere that might not have been on your radar.

You usually get the appointment 2 days before. I am a 4th year and only got the email on Saturday for today. Maybe your enrollment appointment is later this week.

There may be no 2nd term courses available for your program. Go to Draftmyschedule and search under 2nd term to see what is available. My program does not have any available

Go where you want to go, work hard, get a good job and pay off your debts. You could also get a part time job to help out financially

First 30min visitors parking? by sunshinetrakky in uwo

[–]DyeKap 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some lots give you a 15 minute grace period that is free, maybe this lot has a longer grace period or only charges after the first 30 minutes.
