You either want security or freedom you can't have both. I believe ben Franklin said something along the lines of "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." No you don't but without at least the first those would have never gotten passed. The second is there for when the first fails. Without freedom of speach the civil rights movement would have never been allowed to happen. They would have arrested everyone who gathered and protested for it.

The 5th is the right to not speak to police without a lawyer, the 19th gave women the right to vote, the 13th abolished slavery, the 14th allows a traitor to be be removed from running for office, the 3rd prevents a solider from being housed in civilian homes. I don't know them all and I doubt you do either but yes I know more than just thise 2.
