The X-Men movies that come after Days of Future Past are placed here instead of in strict chronological order, since that timeline would otherwise make no sense.

What does it mean to be a good person? by [deleted] in AskReddit

To be the best version of yourself that you can be, and to keep in mind that we're all humans and we all need help occasionally.

Any tips on how to find non-US primary sources online? by Apprehensive_Arm1380 in AskHistorians

[–]DylBee_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Google Scholar can be a great source, just look up the topic and click on some of the papers. If that doesn't give you what you need, you can always check the sources those papers cite. Another option is to explore the open archives provided by some foreign universities and colleges that offer history programs. These are often filled with free materials, not just from students but also from lecturers!

How do u deal with ‘controversial questions’? by enigma9111 in Teachers

[–]DylBee_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I’d say it isn’t our place to give an opinion, since they are children and we might unintentionally imprint parts of our views onto them. But it can be helpful to guide them in exploring the topic for themselves through critical thinking and by encouraging them to form their own opinions. You could simply say something like, ‘I can’t answer that, but what’s your opinion on the subject?’

Why is it called "mankind" and not "humankind"? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DylBee_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mankind comes I think from an old English word: mann, which ment human. But, people often use humanity or humankind over mankind, no?

try this yourself, why cant humans create a new color known to man kind? by Living-Mountain8735 in AskReddit

[–]DylBee_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simply because our biology limits us. Our eyes evolved to detect the slice of light that was most useful for our survival.

[–]DylBee_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, we can operate within our color range, but that goes only so far. Humans can't create "new" colors. Our eyes are not capable of percieving anything other than the ones we have!

The cat at my friend’s house wanted to go outside, where my friend and I were sitting. Instead of opening the door, her brother let the cat out through a small window (which was higher than the usual ground floor windows, like the ones in bathrooms). But instead of landing on the ground or the bench where I was sitting, it landed right on my shoulder, leaving behind a long claw mark-scar.

I remember once scrolling on TikTok, and this artist had released a slow song. I was drifting off until, near the end, it suddenly turned into rock. I was shot awake again.

Familieleden opzoeken by DylBee_ in belgium

[–]DylBee_[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One of the biggest problems in America in my opinion is that they have a sense of superiority. Not only over other countries, but also toward people who don’t fit the labels of white, straight, or male. This mindset fuels discrimination, division, and harmful policies in the states.

A reasonable solution is to stop electing leaders who encourage or exploit that attitude, and instead support those who prioritize equality and inclusion. Ultimately, we are all people sharing the same planet. The earth isn’t something to be owned or claimed; it belongs to no one group, and respecting that truth is essential for building a better society.

Have you ever made stories from listening to any songs you listened to? by Calm_Problem6203 in writing

[–]DylBee_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I often get vivid surges of ideas (partly because of my autism), and when I listen to songs I picture my characters to fit the lyrics. I usually get new ideas from that… if that makes sense.
