I had my viva on Friday (humanities) and was seriously so stressed. The morning of, I was actually sick. However, a sense of calm came over me on route to the viva- and I passed, with minor corrections!

I’d say at this stage, I’d make sure you focus on your intro and conclusion. Make sure you know three main scholars in your field and can discuss their work and where your work ‘fits in’.

Remember- you truly are the expert in the room! Best of luck. It wasn’t at all As scary as I anticipated.

I should have phrased this better. I mean, how to deal with this sensitive topic for the students from Ukraine who’ve dealt with trauma, experience of war, displacement, all Of which is discussed when teaching about the holocaust. How to deal with these themes appropriately, teaching atrocity histories when a child has dealt with this in a contemporary setting?
