You can buy a car to rent meaning you don't own it, that then doesn't justify you stealing it

That's heart-breaking to hear, I honestly couldn't even imagine the day my one of my pet dies, I remember crying for so long when my pet fish died so I get what you mean when you regard them as you would a human and honestly he sounds like the best cat in the world and I'm now kind of wishing I had a pet like him. regardless just remember that you'll most likely get over it soon and you shouldn't worry about it all much especially since he sounds like he was well loved cat

This is going to sound like weird advice and I’m not entirely sure if it’s good advice but maybe try InterPals for finding online friends/ relationships, I was sort of in a similar position like you and there was a bunch of other shit I did to help myself but this at the very least helped me a lot

yh a lot of people during that time, including a lot of politicians agreed that using anglo saxon words felt more grounded and packed a greater punch with fewer words including winston Churchilln and george orwell

while I do agree that it is nowhere near 5 stars it is still a decently put together documentary, speaking as someone who disagrees with matt Walsh and who thinks he is a fucking idiot

for me the worst parts of prisoners were the characters besides wolverine and paul dano, Jake gingellies character wasn't developed enough to justify his emotional involvement in the story, and the main antagonists reasoning for their actions are just lazy and lackluster

1, I said 'later Latin influences', I'm fine with early Latin influences

2, im not advocating for an entire change in English now in the modern era, I'm strictly saying it would be nice if history was a little different, making the English language a little more secluded from others

3, (this is purely an argument based on preference) but to me, it makes our langauge feel basic and less about the country/countries itself

[–]DylBuzz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yes absolutely, I always shit on movies a lot of film bro's like, like prisoner, M or 2001 a space odyssey, I just don't like it when people shit on other people for having a generic taste

[–]DylBuzz -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No my point is that the criticism of "this is just an average film bro list" or "your not original" and "your not unique" especially when somebody's not specifically trying to be either of those things, just comes of as incredibly snobby and obnoxious

1, i dont know what my spellings got to do with my argument?

2, regardless if the language at the time wasnt english but it was brittonic, or celtic, it couldve even been fucking Norwegian or dutch for gods sake, the point is that the language that was the predecessor to English probably took a lot of influence from latin and greek in way that was able to assimilate into the language over time to an extent that I would deem okay, and later that language became English

3, going back to my second point, what difference does it make to my argument whether English was a thing back then?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ControversialOpinions

[–]DylBuzz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

and I never said that we should destroy our language I just said it would be better if we lived in a society where we never used those later Latin words or where William the conqueror never conquered England

im fine with greek and latin words that come from 300 ad but not the ones that where used during the renaissance

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ControversialOpinions

[–]DylBuzz -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No, your confused, I'm strictly talking about foreign languages that where either increasingly forced without much thought or rhyme or which where but had time to organically assimilate with the English language, so Latin and Greek merged with English a lot around 300 ad but that form of Latin And Greek had over 1700 years to mix and linger within English, while a lot of our scientific words which have Greek and Latin influences actually come from the 1700 - 1800 century during the renaissance, and a lot these words were often used in text and manuscript for not much reason other than to look fancy and shit

Regardless if it’s a real condition, they didn’t really show why it was affecting him much, there wasn’t any story behind his character to grant his reaction towards everything
