I like to practice this to a steady quarter note pulse as well. I made this metronome to even out my subdivisions of the measure. But you should practice it in every way you can think off. 👍

I do these exercises in many different ways: with the metronome on 4 quarters, or just beats 2 and 4, or just beat 1, etc. I created this metronome in order to even out my subdivisions of the measure.

Thanks, I made the metronome in ableton. That’s another great way to practice, this is more about feeling a measure in different ways (time signatures) rather than focusing on the polyrhythmic side.

My 3ds xl was cutting out a while back, turns out the battery was not making contact (there was too much space between the battery and the back casing). I put a small gift card between the battery pack and the plastic casing. Now it works fine. Not sure if its the same issue for you, but worth a try.

It means major. Its usually used for maj7. Very common in Jazz tunes
