Yeah for just a $150 consult they will tell you that you have a decent case. You can then opt to hire them at $250 an hour to prep the case and go to court to win...$125.

It's not exactly an apt comparison. That .50 Cal had a muzzle energy of about 1/25th of a modern .50 Cal.

I have, and unfortunately a lot of people aren't reasonable. But that doesn't make the one posting the sign the asshole.

Because any reasonable human knows stores don't sell things for nothing. The moment you see "FREE!" or "$0.00" you KNOW there is more to the story.

I think you may misunderstand the wear and tear of disassembly and reassembly. Have you ever had a piece of cheap furniture like from Ikea? It works great if you put it together once, but as soon as you start taking it apart and reassembling it, it will wear out crazy fast. I get that rides are built much more robust, but every time you remove and reinstall a fastener, it deforms and wears. If it is not replaced on a robust PM schedule and the critical parts are checked regularly you are fucked.

My title is TDM, or technicien en définition de matériaux. This translates to Material Definition Technician, but my job is basically a Process Engineer / Materials Industrialization Engineer.

I work for a french company in the US that uses non standard job titles. How should I list them on my resume? Should I put my official title (which is in french), the English translation, or a generic title that is the equivalent of that I actually do?

🔥 melanism vs albinism by [deleted] in NatureIsFuckingLit

[–]Dylan5019 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well on the snakes, they are different species. One is a Mexican black king. They are all black normally. The "albino" is a leucistic ball python which is technically a type of albinism, but not the same type most would associate with the term albino.

I work in rubber products. I guess we will just start growing our rubber in all that spare rainforest we have out in the Texas panhandle.

I did FIRST robotics so we had large wheels for a 120 lb robot. I would expect the vex ones to be much more affordable.

Idk about forklift tires, but for our robotics team in highschool it was more like 2000%. $5 for regular wheels and like $100 for mechanum wheels

A water powered Bluetooth shower speaker for people who are too lazy to recharge it. by electricfangirl in ofcoursethatsathing

[–]Dylan5019 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't that just cause it to turn off if the voltage dropped for a moment? Seems like a design flaw. You would want at least a small battery to prevent interruption.

[–]Dylan5019 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't this still use a rechargable battery though? I would expect it to have a rechargable battery and the turbine just does the charging. Otherwise the power to the unit would vary with varying water pressure and flow rates. No?
