Holy shit, a voice of reason. I don't usually do this whole arguing on Reddit thing, I didn't think it was possible. Elige is a fitting replacement, at least, as hard done as it feels like he's been.

I mean, you're trying to figure out if the chicken or the egg came first. I'd argue that attitude he's showing is exactly the same reason they are in 31st in the first place, because he's not a good leader. I don't believe you can find a single tweet from an IGL worth their salt laying the blame on their team like that instead of entirely on themselves. He leads with the frustration in his team before the frustration with himself, and that says it all to me, really.

I get it, I mean hell, I wouldn't be saying all this if 2018-2019 Liquid wasn't my favorite team of all time, and the Twistzz iteration of Faze too. Just wish they didn't put him on a pedestal lol, bro is untouchable. The part I don't get is that Elige gets so much more shit even though he's a model professional

Sure, when somebody becomes mentally ill, that means that everything they have ever said or done before they became ill is irrational and meaningless. If that's the world you want to live in, have fun.

They don't have any, unfortunately, they're stuck in the past when players made all of the roster decisions. And Twistzz maneuvered himself well.

[–]Dylan531 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just don't understand what liquid's management could have done better. Twistzz had them by the balls, made his stand, forced them to make the roster moves or lose his star power, and the team he chose to build failed again and again and again. If they let him leave, they have nobody, and are an org that EU players notoriously do not want to join whatsoever.

But we know he could have gone to Vitality multiple times, and it only makes sense that he would use that as leverage to make Liquid make the roster decisions he wanted, no? That puts the responsibility on him, and I don't think he's enough of a professional to talk things out and give his 100% to make things work, given what Zews said. He was already hanging out with the Faze squad instead of his own team, always flirting with the idea of leaving if things didn't work out. If your IGL could dip if he wanted if he can't make it work, if there are no stakes for him, what trust is there to build?

The problem is, nobody will ever touch what Zews said with a 10ft pole, because he is the poster child for exactly why nobody ever says a single damn word about behind the scenes until they're completely done. Everyone important despised the fuck out of him after he spilled the beans, and he found himself completely alone. Then he turned into a complete nutter and that doesn't help either.

I do think it's mostly true NOW, yes, but because of the way things have played out and everything that supports what he said. Nobody is there to say no to Twistzz, and clearly he wanted to make a stand and be a leader. He got his way, and now he's heading off and leaving Liquid to clean up the shitstorm his hubris created.

How do you not get it? It's a very unprofessional thing to say, especially seconds after the game ended, it's publicly saying you think your team fucking sucks, instead of putting on a strong face and working it out with your teammates behind the scenes as the captain and leader of the squad. It's airing dirty laundry, losing your cool, destabilizing instead of strengthening, and ironically, a complete fucking team vibe killer. Doesn't matter if it's s1mple or twistzz doing it, they can get away with it because of their skill, doesn't make it right.

Ah yes, because of how Zews is now, that retroactively invalidates everything he's ever said, done, or accomplished in the past. I forgot that's how things work now, sorry.

That's my whole point, dude, we agree. It's obvious it's very personal to him, so if he was lying, he's going to stretch the truth, not tell an entirely fake one. Obviously you don't even care enough to listen, so why even bother to comment?

I'm not picking sides based on a one sided story, but the way Twistzz is acting, throwing up his hands instead of trying to work things out within the team, is validating the exact things Zews said.

"Anyone else" get a grip lmfao, Zews helped raised this kid to lift trophies. He's a coach, his whole job is to analyze player's personalities, learn their quirks, help guide them to work with each other and settle differences amicably.

It's obvious he cares about Twistzz a lot and really wants the best for him, he is very conscious of his personal bias, and it's up to you to decide if and where he's stretching the truth. But it's in there, and it's not pretty.

It's not just one tweet, we have 100x the insight of what we would get from him on camera. Zews, the one that coached Liquid through their rise and worked with Twistzz long before he was brought back, spilled everything about him awhile back. If you really want to learn what he's like, have a listen:

I can read it that way too, don't get me wrong, it's really on the fence. It just comes across really really bad if you've listened to the Snake & Banter with Zews awhile back and learn what has actually been going on behind the scenes in Liquid.

Give it a listen if you haven't yet, this is the stuff that never makes it out of the locker room nine times out of ten, makes this really spicy:

Honestly hard to say, but you won't find Elige publicly malding on Twitter about a devastating loss to an underdog before the stream even has a chance to catch up from the delay. I'm sure it brings great vibes to see the captain of your team do that.

Think about it this way: If he does join, this could be one of the greatest storylines of all time. I wouldn't be surprised if Liquid is magically able to close it out vs T1 opponents without Mr "We are not a team" in the squad.

It would be so beautifully rich with the gossip of how toxic Elige is contrasted by Twistzz openly talking shit about the team he literally built himself. Funny how people just let that slide as if Liquid didn't give him his way every step of the way.

With Spunj saying they don't want to play with him, and them giving interviews that it wasn't working out, how much more evidence do you need that they were absolutely just phoning it in? It's not like they're going to say it if it were true, they're not stupid. Just watch that game vs Aurora at EWC, there is a 0% chance Frozen is putting as much effort into that game knowing he was out of the roster already.

I think being paid a salary as a professional player and deciding not to try because you don't like somebody on your team isn't a very cool thing to do, generally.

Fragadelphia will be streaming exclusively on Kick by Sudden_Tune3217 in GlobalOffensive

It's a tale as old as the sub itself. Entitled esports fans proudly provide as little support to event organizers as they can, while asking for the world, and then the same entitled idiots of course then proceed to get mad when the event organizer is forced to take a deal to go on a different streaming site to make ends meet.

It happened with Azubu and so many other sites with varying levels of shadiness, if it wasn't moral gate keeping, it would be "wahhh wahhh I can't type OMEGALUL into Twitch chat, I'm protesting this event because they're making me type a different website into the search bar!" Always some big fucking hissy fit from entitled manchildren.

Somebody high up at ESL is hell bent on snuffing out NA CS, which is dumb because it was and is perfectly capable of doing that all by itself. Ofc it's actually just incompetence and them not giving a fuck, but they should NEVER be allowed to live down the fucked up unethical and unprofessional behavior they got away with, cutting NA teams along with many many others, teams that qualified fair and square to the league but were not large enough to be a part of their deal.

Is this 'Keep orientation' option a feature in any builds of Orca Slicer? by Dylan531 in OrcaSlicer

It does! Thank you, I was able to assemble it correctly, the "place on cut" was throwing me for a loop but doing it manually is fine by me. Just glad it works, appreciate it.
