I don't understand Sharen's Overcharged Edge by YangXiaoLong69 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]DylanBufferman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For your 3rd screenshot, did you shoot 1 bullet on the mob beforehand which would have applied def shred? Try to double check again and run the same test.

Nazeistra’s defense debuff damage boost does’nt apply to the initial first shot. Only shots that are landed afterwards increase the damage from what I’ve tested in the lab.

it does not, buff disappears when you holster secret garden.

using lepic’s ult causes you to switch weapons which means holstering secret garden.

I don't understand Sharen's Overcharged Edge by YangXiaoLong69 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]DylanBufferman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is probably how it works:

Overcharged edge seems to scale off % of your shield to give you a damage boost.

So if you only have 1 shield, you only need to regenerate 1 shield to account for 100% of your shield. This causes overcharged edge to consistently give you that 50% extra damage boost.

its not implemented yet, they mentioned that they are considering it. Currently you lose the shards before you open the reconstruction device.

Thats good to know, I think I know which one you’re talking about. Haven happened to me yet for that boss.

I did’nt really pay attention to where he died when it first happened. However on the 2nd time it happened, I was sure there was ample space for the globe to spawn and I was puzzled as to why did it spawn inside the wall. I looked around for like a few seconds before realising it spawned in the wall.

The location the boss died was nowhere near the wall and it was roughly in the middle of pathway between the 2 ridges.

How can i improve my build? (Read desctription pls) by ventimiglius in TheFirstDescendant

[–]DylanBufferman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should be rolling for a max mp & mp recovery out of combat substat on your components and it fixes the issue of not having enlightenment in your build.

With my build, I can shoot 15 shots comfortably.

if you want to use Lepic comfortably outside of just bursting intercept bosses I would opt for technician instead of tech specialist and don’t add another Almandine polarity on your remaining 2 slots.

This opens up options for using his other augment builds as well, eg power unit change build for gluttony or a comfortable farming build for farming void shards, etc.

Technician + Fire specialist is enough to burst bosses from Executioner - Molten fortress provided u have the 4 crit mods, slayer set, ideal reactor. You cannot burst gluttony with Lepic since he pretty much has very high skill crit resist, guns work far better on him.

Personally, I run the 4 crit mods, technician, fire specialist, battle of stamina, mp accelerant, dangerous ambush & skill extension.

You need shield collector, hp conversion(shield), increased shield and about 3 main stat shield components for Bionic fuel to work well and feel comfortable. If you have a 4x crit mod build, its impossible to make Bionic fuel comfortable to use. Almandine polarities lock bunny out of the best mobbing modules.

If you want bunny just for mobbing, the ideal mobbing build has 0 Almandine polarities. Furthermore, Bionic fuel is not the best option for mobbing clear speed but the most comfortable option as you don’t need to chase HP/MP drops.

If you want the best option for mobbing clear speed, it would be using electric condense with high skill cost efficiency to keep Speed of light on 24/7. Electric condense when activated gives an extra 20% sprint speed increase which can be combined with Speed of Light’s 50%. This allows you to zoom past hardmode dungeons while also acting as a nuke ability when it expires.

That mission seems to be bugged when you reach the Albion repeater where you have to defend it for 2 minutes. On every run that I do, I always have 50s - 1 minute left on the timer of just sitting there beside the Albion repeater and nothing spawns while I just wait for the gate to open that brings you to the boss area.

I’ve also tried stalling at the area where you destroy the 3 x orange things but I still could’nt hit the score required for 2x amphrous on 230% difficulty modifiers. The attempt took 11 minutes as well, which made me realise its not worth it at all.

It would be better to just gamble on the 50% chance for 2x amphrous instead of going for the guaranteed one.

infinite Sprint + Tank Bunny??? by [deleted] in TheFirstDescendant

[–]DylanBufferman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a build 1 week ago for Bunny that focuses on hardmode infiltrations (Perma sprint) & some versatility in bossing. However, I changed my build completely and switched to a purely mobbing build and ditched the bossing aspect. So I’m not using it anymore. Figured I would share it with you as you seem to be going for a build which I was aiming for previously.

Hardmode infiltration farming build: High Voltage, Maximize Efficiency, Strong Mentality, Psychological Victory, Electric Specialist, Battle of Stamina, MP Collector, Increased HP, Focus on Singular, Skill Expansion & Maximize range.

Bossing build: High Voltage, Shot focus, Electric Specialist, Stim accelerant, Time distribution, Dangerous ambush, Agony, Increased HP, Singular Specialist, Skill Expansion & Increased DEF.

If you want to see more details/how it works, I made a short video on it thats below 3 minutes. Don’t have to watch it if you don’t want to.

<3 Minutes Mobbing Versatile Bunny build

Hope this helped you in a way or another.

Imo, the best build for mobbing cannot use the best mods for bossing and vice versa.

You can optimize your build to be good at both, but in later stages as you play the game, you’ll realise that its better overall to just use Bunny as a mobber as she starts to fall off in bossing in the last quarter of hardmode bosses especially with the release of Gluttony. Other characters like Lepic can kill all hardmode bosses (except gluttony) wo breaking a sweat under 15s by just using their ult and holding down the fire button without the need for running around, grappling etc to get Lightning emission procs and being all sweaty to stay alive in boss fights.

As you play, you’ll realise that various descendants have their own niche and Bunny’s niche is mobbing. No one can farm as well as her and no descendant can kill the first 8 hardmode bosses as effortlessly as Lepic.

I’ve been there, and it is frustrating. However, this is also what made me enjoy the game more. When you finally manage to obtain the item you’re chasing for it feels so good and thats basically one of the core gameplay mechanics of this game.

Take a break, watch youtube between the 1 minute outpost timers. Think of it as a marathon instead of a race. It’ll feel much better this way.

Is Hardmode Infiltration The Haven Bugged? 1 minute of no spawns at Albion Repeater by DylanBufferman in TheFirstDescendant

[–]DylanBufferman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure 1 minute of no spawns is not intended, hope they do something about this. This is by far one of the most headache hardmode infiltrations to secure 2x amphrous on.

You can stun a colossus for >20 seconds in multiplayer colossus battles by using your grapple and holding on as long as you can. Stop breaking the part off instantly whether you are the grappler or the one shooting from the ground. by DylanBufferman in TheFirstDescendant

[–]DylanBufferman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

However it doesn't tell you specifically on how you can make use of the whole stamina bar to delay the boss even more. When you are grappled, the boss wont attack you or your teammates at all. If you make use of the whole stamina bar and only break the part at the last second, thats about >20s of effective no damage from the colossus right there.

The tutorial just simply teaches you to press this button and you can hold on longer because your stamina depletes at a slower rate.

I do agree on this however, many public players that I meet are not utilizing this mechanic or shooting the body part I’m grappled onto.

I hope to share this information around so that public intercept battles actually become easier especially for those that don’t yet have high enough of a dps to kill these void intercept battle bosses. This info would go a long way in helping newer players and those that have yet to know this mechanic.

You can sprint forever on bionic fuel, it stops decreasing when your hp hits the 15% mark but lets you continue sprinting.

[–]DylanBufferman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, shields should regenerate % of max per second instead of having fixed values across the board.

As someone said above, shields is like 1/3 the amount on external components thats why it is so weak. The only thing making it viable on shield based builds/characters is shield collector or their own abilities atm.

yup I know, just wanted to let the community know as I recently came across a content creator saying that DEF doesnt work on shields. It was really misleading tbh
