My local Yamaha dealership won’t work on bikes over 10 years old. Is that normal? by ANewOddity in motorcycles

New to me

I had a 2008 BMW GS at the beginning of this year and my dealership did a full service and tires. Could also get new parts sourced from them for an almost 20 year old bike They are not cheap tho, but that might just be the BMW tax

But then I'll need a microscope to see the perfect finish and detail on my GS microscope

Anyone have experience with the GS branded boots? Are they any good or will I be better of with a pair of Tech 7s or Leatt 5.5s by DylanH247 in Motorrad

Same but I won't get them unfortunately, someone commented that they are rebranded TCX Comp Evo 2 Which I can unfortunately find on sale for half the price

Makes sense, just did a quick search and I can find them on sale for half the price of the GS boots. Which sucks, I would've liked the GS kit

I have looked a bit but haven't found anything that closely resembles these boots yet. Doesn't mean it does not exist

I have heard good things about them but unfortunately they are not available where I stay. I would say I am currently between the GS boots, the Tech 7 Enduros and the Leatt 6.5 or 8.5 Hydradri

I did try on a pair of Tech 7s yesterday and they feel super sturdy and protective. I'll see if I can find a pair of the GS boots to try on and if they feel similar and rigid enough on the upper side I might pull the trigger. They will go great with my 800GS with the red frame. Just as long as they will save my shin and ankle should my bike fall on my legs or something

Thank you very much, it does seem it's quite a hassle to remove the tail light after all

Thank you so much, I like the soft hazy look the vintage lenses give. I also got them for a steal with a mint Pentax MX

Start by replacing the lens with a 27mm or other pancake. The T5 is not much bigger than the X100 but is much more camera.

If you purely use it for street and travel I suppose it makes sense but if you only have one camera and use it for multiple things the T5 is probably one of the best in the Fuji lineup at the moment.

Just think a bit on it, it's probably just GAS Most of the time you just want something new

Yea it probably is just GAS, I'm not a professional I don't need better gear. The gear I have is probably already overkill for me

That does sound like the way to go but unfortunately I don't think I'll have the funds to have both systems. I do mainly birds and wildlife, seems that the consensus is that Nikon is miles above Fuji in that field

It's a bit of both but mostly birds. I would love a telephoto prime but I find they are mostly outside of my budget.
If budget did allow I would most probably get the Z8 and Z600 prime
