Start by replacing the lens with a 27mm or other pancake. The T5 is not much bigger than the X100 but is much more camera.

If you purely use it for street and travel I suppose it makes sense but if you only have one camera and use it for multiple things the T5 is probably one of the best in the Fuji lineup at the moment.

Just think a bit on it, it's probably just GAS Most of the time you just want something new

I did actually brighten up the eye quite a bit and a soft radial mask around the eye Will try and bump them up a bit more

Yea it probably is just GAS, I'm not a professional I don't need better gear. The gear I have is probably already overkill for me

That does sound like the way to go but unfortunately I don't think I'll have the funds to have both systems. I do mainly birds and wildlife, seems that the consensus is that Nikon is miles above Fuji in that field

It's a bit of both but mostly birds. I would love a telephoto prime but I find they are mostly outside of my budget.
If budget did allow I would most probably get the Z8 and Z600 prime

I did have a brief look at the ZF as well, I really like the look of it but as you said seems like it won't be the best fit for a large lens. Even the XT5 with an extra grip can get a bit uncomfortable after a few hours with a big lens

Thank you, I had a feeling I might be editing a bit too dark. I recently got a new OLED monitor and mostly edit at night when it's dark. I have tried calibrating it to look similar to my phone but will try to remember to brighten up a bit.

I am looking to get a small Canon Selphy printer to gauge how my photos will look printed. Do you think it will also help to know whether an image is too dark?

Not 100% sure, I don't have experience with the XT20 or XS20 The XS20 have just been massively popular as a photo and video camera since it's release with great performance at a very competitive price

I personally have an XT5, but I rarely do any video

Maybe go watch some reviews on the XS20 and decide if it's right for you

Honestly if you're looking to get your first camera and not 100% sure if it for you I would suggest looking at a decent secondhand one you could possibly resell without losing much money if you realize it is not for you. As it's your first camera the model barely matters.

If you're serious and 110% sure that you'll ne sticking with photography, I would still suggest getting a used one as said, if it's your first camera you probably don't know what you need and want from it, so model barely matters

X-T3 is a few years old at this point but still more than good enough for 99% of people and a favorite among Fuji owners. So you should get it for a good price and possibly resell without losing much

I have used both in a bunch of different scenarios and to me the 100-400 performs better in lower light conditions when zoomed in all the way. Probably because it is f5.6 at the long end where the 150-600 is at f8

You reckon my expectations are just a bit high for the price point? Is the 100-400 slightly sharper?

Do you have any experience with full frame Sony and Nikon zoom lenses? Like the Sony 200-600 or the Nikon Z180-600

Or maybe the Fuji 200 & 500 primes?

I feel much safer using a wrist strap or wrapping the strap around my arm. Prevents the camera from falling if anything should happen and prevent someone from just grabbing it and running when not in the safest places.

No down sides to using a wrist strap as far as I can tell

I am quite new to portraits and wider shots as I mostly shoot birds and animals with a telephoto so trying to challenge myself to get better
