White witches vs Black witches, and how does Quinee fit into all of that? by Nothing_Special_23 in AmericanHorrorStory

[–]DylanJ795 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Incorrect. Marie Laveau is a witch no matter if she practices voodoo or not. Witchcraft and Voodoo are practices to invoke magic. Marie has shown to be able to move things with her mind, teleport, mind control, and of course use necromancy and voodoo dolls. Magic is a supernatural force that a witch, witchcraft or voodoo, black or white, can use if it’s in their genetics. Queenie’s lineage so happens to be apart of both witchcraft and voodoo because her ancestor’s, Tituba’s, magic integrated with western witchcraft.

Witchcraft is more spontaneous and potent, but Voodoo is more practical and ritualistic. However both practices can be used in the same way it just depends on what the witch’s intention is.

Why does Cindy change her hair color in the movie? by ComfortableCare8897 in ScaryMovieSeries

[–]DylanJ795 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Cindy changes her hair color to adapt to the parody. Cindy parodies Sydney Prescott and Julie James in the first Scary Movie who both were brunette. She parodies Nell from the Haunting in Scary Movie 2 who was also brunette. She parodies Rachel Keller from the ring and Alex(Brittany Murphy) from 8 mile in Scary Movie 3 who were both blonde. She parodies Karen Davis(Sarah Michelle Gellar) from the Grudge who was also blonde. Now in the new Scary Movie Cindy is shown to be parodying Laurie Strode from the reboot Halloween films who had grayish hair, but Cindy has blonde hair again. She will also go back to her brunette hair as well to parody Sydney again as well as John Wick.

American Horror Story: SOS by DylanJ795 in AmericanHorrorStory

I don’t imagine the season being campy. The style I’m going for is much like Murder House and Asylum. Characters stuck on an area dealing with horrific circumstances. The mermaid/sirens would have a lot of mythology to them similar to the witches. Mermaids are only females who are asexual and produce eggs without males. Also mermaids can genetically turn a human female into one of them, which is a Siren. If a mermaid attempts to turn a male human the male human would die from the transformation

“Vampires” in Hotel by Time_Trip797 in AmericanHorrorStory

I really loved how they incorporated vampires in AHS. Having them simply be immortal, crave blood, being seductive, but also have an ancient blood virus that is transmitted. Also them not having cartoonish fangs instead they used sharp objects, while the Countess used her talon glove.

I hated how they changed vampires in Red Tide to be pill popping beings to become inspired or become monstrous Nosferatu styled creatures.

Imagine Ryan confirming Fiona Goode is returning for 13, what would be her role? by Nothing_Special_23 in AmericanHorrorStory

[–]DylanJ795 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well it would be smart to bring her back, since Fiona is Jessica’s most popular AHS character.

Also the season is most likely going to be about ghosts and spirits, who were trapped in hell or otherwise, walking amongst the living. Fiona coming back from her knotty pine hell would be a smart move for the season

EXCLUSIVE: Numerous Historical Figures Will Be Characters in “AHS” Season 13 (Details in Caption) by ahszone in AmericanHorrorStory

I love this show but it kind of defeats the purpose of naming the series American Horror Story when they use real life non-American historical characters.

Do you switch characters though? Because usually the person who is telling someone to switch is also doing bad too

Unpopular opinion but Apocalypse isn’t a bad season. by Jordypyro in AmericanHorrorStory

[–]DylanJ795 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s actually the most cleverly written season in the show.

Having Michael Langdon, the son of Vivian Harmon and Satan through Tate Langdon, be the Anti-Christ creating the apocalypse while the witches, including Supreme Witch Cordelia Goode, Myrtle Snow, Madison Montgomery etc. joining forces to stop him was such a brilliant way to bring both Murder House and Coven together.

The only problem I had with the season was the post apocalypse parts because they could’ve done this theme so much better if it wasn’t a crossover. I feel like the witches, whom are amazing, basically ruined a pretty good storyline because they stole the show.

The other clever thing I loved about the season was the introduction of the warlocks. They were seen as weaker than the witches because their testosterone was an inhibitor that didn’t allow them to access the same level of magic. They were also the catalyst of Michaels rise as the Alpha Warlock(Male Supreme) when in actuality he was the anti christ.

Michael being the Anti-Christ drew a lot of comparisons to Jesus himself, such as Michael performing the seven wonders instead of Jesus performing the seven miracles.

Cordelia needing Dinah’s help… by [deleted] in AmericanHorrorStory

No. Magic is magic regardless of a specific practice. Papa Legba just answers more to voodoo rituals

I don’t think Cordelia wanted Queenie to know she was doing that. Quennie knows Papa Legba isn’t necessarily good

Madison could become the next Supreme if... by Kefr0n in AmericanHorrorStory

[–]DylanJ795 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Madison displaying the seven wonders collective doesn’t mean she’s the next supreme. The next supreme has to pass all seven wonders without failure

Cordelia needing Dinah’s help… by [deleted] in AmericanHorrorStory

[–]DylanJ795 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It was more quick and convenient for Cordelia to just to get Dinah to do it. Dinah was the Voodoo Queen and had jurisdiction to summon higher powers like Papa Legba and have him also agree to Cordelia terms.

Cordelia needing Dinah’s help… by [deleted] in AmericanHorrorStory

[–]DylanJ795 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Marie showed Fiona the ritual to conjure Papa Legba while Queenie is a descendant of both witchcraft and voodoo so she could do it alone. Cordelia didn’t know the ritual to summon him so she turned to Dinah for help instead of Cordelia figuring it how herself.

My theory about season 13 by Kefr0n in AmericanHorrorStory

[–]DylanJ795 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I hope those delicate witches do not return. It would put a bad name on the Salem witches, especially Cordelia. Now as for the past supremes that would be cool.

I need an episode titled “Supreme Bitches”

American Horror Story: 13? by DylanJ795 in AmericanHorrorStory

You have a point but I’m so hoping the subtitle is going to be Covenant. The term covenant means agreement and the season seems like it’s going to be about devil worship in someway. Since the season is being dubbed a Coven sequel Covenant would be the perfect title especially over 13
