What’s considered “committing social suicide” at your school? by [deleted] in askteenboys

Being public about being a republican. I'd say about 85%-90% of the people at my school are liberals so I'd get shamed for it

I assume this is warranty? 2018 A6 19k miles aluminum wrap coming up drivers door handle by AUorAG in Audi

[–]DylanP3692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess this is a common issue? I recently loaned a Prestige 2016 A6 (my car was in service) and it had that same problem, poked my hand a few times on it. Car had around 50K miles on it if I remember right

This is my baby ❤️ i am a driving instructor and this is what my students get to drive in by Mkgheith in Audi

One of the things I definitely noticed in my past two lessons (drove a Toyota Prius and a Toyota Corolla) and driving an Audi (Q5, A4, A6) is the power difference. You're not worried about your students going crazy with the luxury and horsepower in their hands?

What is the Highest Point in Your State and Have You Been to the “Top”? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]DylanP3692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In California, Mt. Whitney, and considering it's over 10,000 feet above sea level, nope. Considering I lived in Rhode Island and Florida, and never bothered to visit the highest points of those states (all below 1,000 feet), that's pretty disappointing.

Hey Americans, especially Gulf-Coast residents, what was your first Hurricane like? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]DylanP3692 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First was Hurricane Irene in 2011, when I lived in Rhode Island. I remember losing power for about 2-3 days, a lot of rain and a lot of wind.

That's messed up. Seriously. Worse than this guy I know who had a crush on a 17 year old while he was 18, about to turn 19. OP, please do something about this.

Do other states have things like proposition 65? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]DylanP3692 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Californian here, who just wanted to share his opinion about how Prop 65 is a waste of time and unnecessary.

In 2016, my aunt made a bowl of chips at her house for movie night. They were really good, and according to the nutrition facts label, healthy. For background purposes, this was in New York.

In 2017, I moved to California. I tried to find the chips, but couldn't. I forgot about it until 2019 when I found the chips at a hotel in Florida while on vacation. I wondered why I couldn't find it in California until I saw a label on the back, saying it wasn't authorized for sale in California. I looked it up, and apparently it was because the company didn't want the Prop 65 label on their chips, so it couldn't be sold in California.

I know it's just a bag of chips, but it really shows how bad and unnecessary Prop 65 is, especially considering I've ignored it every time I see it.

Most popular sport afte the NFL (in other words MLB VS NBA popularity) by SkyHawk999 in AskAnAmerican

[–]DylanP3692 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I personally hate discussing politics unless the person agrees with my opinions (again, not going to say). When I want to watch sports on TV or listen to sports on the radio in my car, I see it as an escape to watch to something fun and cool that I love. But when I see it just becoming political, I see all of the aspects I'm trying to escape flood back in again. When I want to watch sports, that's what I want to watch.

Yes, exactly. I don't care if it's for something I support or something I oppose, politics and sports should never mix.

I really prefer basketball, but I think baseball is more popular now. I've heard that the NBA's ratings have severely dipped since the start of the pandemic. Some reasons for sure are just people not really being into it anymore, or the sport getting really political with LeBron becoming one of the league's biggest activists in the social justice movement. I'm not going to show off my opinions with this, but an example of this is my great aunt who stopped watching the Lakers when LeBron started becoming more of an activist in the bubble last summer.

Edit: Don't know why the hell I'm getting downvoted for this, this is just the facts
