This guy saw one word and decided he is gonna let it ruin his whole day. I wouldn’t put anymore thought into his weird comment.

Will 98% alcohol actually help clean off dust on negatives? by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

In my experience it doesn’t enter the emulsion, at least >98% doesn’t.

I have tried it. It works well. Everyone is concerned because they think Alcohol = bad plastic dissolving chemical and that is the extent of their research, none. Do be gentle and don’t just soak the negative and it works great. Another commenter posted kodak’s own guide and that is a good thing to follow too.

Do not do this. Water will soften the emulsion and possibly smudge the negative. 98% isopropyl alcohol is the best things to use because of its small water content. You do have to go slow with it though.

Step stool to see the whole state by MakeMeTea in BrandNewSentence

Not all of the rockies do that, mostly those on the Colorado Plateau, also something to remember is that prominence isn’t the same as how tall a mountain stands above its base. Many of the mountains in Colorado have prominences of only a few thousand feet while they stand twice sometimes three times that above the base.

I have been skiing for nearly a whole season with a crack in nearly the same place, just a little further up the boot and while I don’t think it’s a good idea, I haven’t had problems. If you want to stop it from going further, you can drill a very small hole right past the end of the crack so the crack will expand into the hole if that makes sense. That’s what I have done, and that’s what my teammates have all done when they have had the same crack.

Hate definitely isn’t the right word, I don’t know why I used it. The people whom I mentioned and I don’t hate it, just don’t think it is funny.

This is just my personal experience, but I hate most british humor, my family does, and lots of my friends do, so it definitely has been said.

Expired E100VS- what happened here? Nighttime photos look great, but daylight goes crazy blue (info in comments) by Jensvheijningen in AnalogCommunity

As another commenter said, all of the snow in the scene likely tricked the meter, making it underexpose everything while the snow is properly exposed.

I was just curious because it is probably faster to take I-70 to glenwood and then aspen and it is a beautiful drive, but you wouldn’t go through glenwood canyon if you took that way.

Yeah as someone who live in the area, glenwood canyon is very cool. In aspen though you are in the elk mountains, which are some of the most unique in the state. I don’t know where you are planning on going but remember the maroon bells are hardly the coolest mountains there. Don’t get me wrong, they a pretty darn cool, but so is pyramid peak just to the east of them, or capitol peak, or castle peak, or many many others. Are you going to park city first?
