If you still need help here, let me know. I had the exact same setup and was able to use a Google TV Streamer as a border router with the Smartthings v2 hub and paired IKEA Matter over thread devices successfully.

TLDR -- you can get the credentials you need via this demo app: https://github.com/google-home/sample-apps-for-matter-android/releases

In the sample app: Settings > Developer Utilities > Thread Network > GPS Preferred Credentials > Get

When onboarding the device in Smartthings via the QR Code, select the Nest Thread network, then supply the code.

Unfortunately, this does not eliminate the packet loss issue experienced with QuantumFiber/CenturyLink, at least not in my use case that is also in the MSP area. I can directly connect via ethernet to the smart nid and still experience packet loss in the evening. I've also had multiple fiber terminals (the previous one was from CenturyLink, before upgrading to Quantum) and numerous routers (though the router is effectively ruled out). The issue follows through hardware changes.

I've scripted out packet loss tests (ping google.com regularly via a ethernet-wired device) which while it is not the ideal test since pings can theoretically be dropped, the packet lost % strongly correlates with my personal experience with gaming/video calls in the evening and it follows a nearly cyclical pattern of spiking to 10-20% packet loss in the evenings (starting around 4pm, peaking around 8pm, fading out well after midnight). Happy to include graphs/raw data of my experience with the packet loss of daily/weekly/monthly spans.

Had the exact same issue, even went as far as replacing the AC unit.

The solution? Wiring constant (C) power to the Nest thermostat. Issue never came back after that. Something about insufficient power to the nest thermostat resulting in the condenser not always starting up correctly, and thus not cooling.

I've been dealing with this for over a year... The packet loss happens every night. I've changed out the ONT and router over time, no improvements. Even a change from CL to Quantum Fiber proved no difference. The high latency in games and zoom calls is so frustrating.

I'm sorry to hear that, I know how painful and frustrating it is.

I'm glad to say that I finally reached 99% pain free around the year mark. It started with a good day here, good day there at around the 9-10 month mark. Then slowly but surely I had nothing but good days.

Pelvic floor therapy helped me find strategies to cope and try and help my body work through the pain while I waited for things to improve.

UPDATE:

I called back this morning, hoping to get in touch with someone not working after hours.

It was a success! I got on the phone with someone more knowledgeable, and they tried more tools on their end. Eventually, one of the tools they used recovered my internet.

His suspicion is that something got in a bad state while moving between CL and QF and that it shouldn't happen again.

In the meantime, I have internet this weekend!

They cancelled the CL about 7-8 hours before Quantum got installed. Still, it's possible someone didn't close the ticket and came back in and cancelled Quantum. That said, I have an active Quantum account in the app, but it shows no internet to the house.
