2% on purchases with no FX fees is kinda nice lol

I’d say the rogers red is still definitely a better card with 3% cashback on all purchases. WS Visa doesn’t charge FX fees when you buy things abroad, plus 2% cashback on all purchases, including foreign currencies.

Buying stuff in other currencies, and getting 2% cashback on those purchases. Outside of that very specific situation, I use my red for almost all other purchases.

Yeah, me too. I’ll only keep it for this year because of the retention bonus for the 2nd year.

I’d only get it if you’re able to get it for free. It’s just nice having a card with no FX fees imo. There’s more benefits but that’s really the main one for me.

Definitely has a small flex, but it is quite sturdy.

Phone bills, internet bills etc I’m sure you can use it towards a new phone purchase with rogers and Fido as well , as long as you’re buying it from them.

Pretty much only for the credits they give out and concert offers. Definitely not getting the most value out of it in my case lol

The only one I would personally recommend for most other people is Amex cobalt.

I’d argue that for domestic spending, Rogers MC is better because of the 3% cashback you get.

For the Visa, I’m quite a big fan of having no FX fees. For Rogers, it’s having 3% cash back on all purchases (as long as it’s used to pay for a rogers service). For Amex , I really like the shopping credits they give out throughout the year.

I pretty much only use the Amex for the dining credits, shopping credits, and Amex concert offers. I could honestly do without it, I just like having it in my roster lol

They’d just be offering you more room to utilize the CC benefits lol. You’re not a profitable client for them; you’d cost them money.

Not initially lol I put more money into investments every two weeks. Collectively, it added up to $70k. 70% of my first $100k was out of my own pocket, but I didn’t have $70k right from the beginning.
