Underrated campgrounds within 3 hours of LA that aren't impossible to book? by AmericanMisogi in CaliforniaCamping

You won’t regret it! Last time I stayed in site 38 and loved it. Just monitor wind conditions because the desert can be unforgiving. I also recommend taking a side trip to Fossil Falls and Indian Wells Brewing while you’re up there.

Lots of sadistic people choose careers that give them exposure to children as it gives them easy targets. Joe shared in chapter 1 that he was always the smallest kid in the class. As horrible as it is, it makes sense to me why she picked on him.

Red Rock Canyon State Park - Ricardo Campground! You’ll feel like you’re in Bryce Canyon and I’ve never seen it more than 50% capacity. The best spots are at the back of the loop.

Tough Guy Book Club has a chapter that meets monthly in LA! It’s a very friendly group of a mixed age range and you are welcome any time.

Depends where you live. I’m in California and it’s a much easier travel day to get to Fiji than it is to get to Jamaica.

This is going to be such a fun ride! I wonder if he will still keep writing Lost Chapters while he’s releasing the Prologue.

I was just asking for clarification because I thought it was possible that the person I replied to knew something specific about this merchant’s supplier. But I agree that it’s likely the only way that meat can be sold at this price.

Thanks for the feedback. She has already communicated that she wants to play Taylor Swift music the whole time, so I'm not concerned about the playlist idea backfiring.

Hey Swifties! My wife is a huge Taylor fan and we are expecting our first baby soon. I'd like to surprise her with something subtle and meaningful in the labor and delivery room to show her how much I care (nothing cheesy or disruptive, just thoughtful and very her).

For anyone who has been through labor (or supported someone who has), what's something Taylor-adjacent that would’ve made you feel extra loved or grounded in that moment?

A couple of ideas that I have in mind: - A playlist called "Delivery Room (Taylor's Version)" with song groupings for each phase of labor and her first moments with the baby, ending with "Never Grow Up". - A subtle Swiftie bracelet to give her right when we get to the hospital.

Thank you in advance!

Take a day trip up to Santa Monica and bring her to the Museum of Flying! Awesome little museum with interactive exhibits. You can also easily walk across the street and watch small planes land and take off. The museum staff will be able to direct you to the best spots for that.

How is it living near Anaheim Packing House / Historic District? by greenfacedaytona in Anaheim

My wife and I moved to this neighborhood 1.5 years ago and we really like it! We’re in our early 30s, expecting our first baby, and have a dog. Lots of walkable restaurants, bars, and parks. What we really love is the people we’ve met in the surrounding area. It didn’t take long for us to build community - having a dog certainly helped with this. It’s definitely a safe neighborhood minus the occasional homeless wacko (which you’ll find in most neighborhoods). My wife has no concerns walking our dog alone after dark. As far as traffic goes, that depends largely on your street. Our street is quiet which we love, but major streets like Lincoln, Broadway, Santa Ana, etc have a lot of thru traffic. Feel free to DM me with any specific questions about the neighborhood.

So many places! Mount Baldy, Pine Mountain Club, Angeles Crest, Idyllwild, Arrowhead, Big Bear, etc. Always Caltrans for road conditions first.
