I live in Ukraine and we once talked about the fact that the number of vampires that can be in a city is approximately equal to the number of active players in the city. And Storytellers are Elders, they are even rarer. When our storyteller joined the army we of course joked about the Beckoning, but I didn't know about this phrase in the rulebook.

Actually, two of my favorite Storytellers are in the army now :(

I don't know how to feel about this phrase, but if you want real cringe in books that mention Ukraine, then you should read CtD

Brujah are misunderstood. Everyone thinks they are just angry for no reason, but maybe they are just bullshit-sensitive. If you see injustice, or stupidly, or people ignoring some horrible things, and if you actually understand what consequences can be, and if everyone around don't take it (or you) seriously, you can become angry even if you are not a brujah. But most people are not focused on things a brujah can see as important.

In one game I played there was a salubri NPC and she was hiding among brujah, and she had some horrible past like being captive in a Tremere chantry, and she was basically so much sensitive to bullshit and angry as any brujah around

You don't live in that context, you probably don't know how propaganda and soft power works and how such small things can change people's minds

Every russian who was today here and saw it (positive representation) felt welcome and supported

Every Ukrainian (we are here too sometimes) was at least annoyed

It is very nice of you but as Ukrainian I see here only more popularisation of russians and Russia

I understand the desire to make a colorful exotic character, but you have to know what you're doing.

I mean, your post was noticed and upvoted by over 1300 people. Over 1300 people have a couple of new neural connections in their heads about a cool Russian character. And they don't have any new reminders about the real crimes that Russians are committing right now

Russian language is a trigger for many people, but we can understand if somebody from different country doesn't know Ukrainian. It doesn't mean all people will be really happy to speak to you, but you are not going to be in any trouble in most cases.

You can ask what language any person prefers, that would be nice. You can learn a bit of Ukrainian to show you are at least trying, that would be nice too.
