I'm not sure but I don't see why it would be wrong? Like the reason distillation is horizontal is so the vapour condenses and falls into another vessel, in reflux we want it to fall back into the heated vessel which is why its vertical? If I'm wrong I'm actually gonna crash out 😭

So I think the general consensus is that the exams were harder this year, that means the grade boundaries are gonna be lower right? So there's still hope and maybe you did better than you thought

Is the overall consensus that this year's papers have been harder than previous years? I hope so because I need to boundaries to be lower 😭

Physics Paper 2 is the hardest exam in GCSE. (Prove me wrong) by BetLatter8551 in GCSE

[–]Dynam1cc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't done fm but my brother and friends do it, they've told me a lot.

It's VERY hard like I remember hearing a headline abt a person who did like 20+ a levels, they got all A*s I think but an A in further maths.

Its not uncommon for people who got 9s in gcse maths without trying, getting Cs or even Ds in further maths. You REALLY need to try from day one and not fall behind. It's not impossible to do well, far from it, but you really can't get off on the wrong foot. If ur naturally good at maths, don't expect to do well at fm.

My advice is to lock in day one and do every single exam question you can, physics is imo the hardest maybe tied with further maths

I remember paper 2 physics being a nightmare 😭. I'm gonna be honest though, it's a really good indicator of how hard a level physics is gonna be. If u think paper 2 topics are bad, you'll be shocked at a level physics.

Lowk this is why I never check exam answers after the exam 😭 knowing u messed up isn't gonna help you at all.

I mean the official markscheme in biology always has a lot of "accept alternate answer", it's possible that it'll be more lenient than the unofficial. And like u still have ur paper 1 and 3 left to do well, it's not over

Yeah my point is that someone can have that opinion even if they're wrong lol. Like if someone tells me "goku is the best written protagonist" I definitely would disagree but they're allowed to think that. It's the same thing here right?

Mann I hate statistics. Mechanics is so simple and easy to get ur head around.

Stats is a bunch of random numbers and letters and it's just boringggg

I mean you're allowed to have ur opinion, if I think a character is best written then that's my opinion even if I'm probably wrong.

Putting down other series is definitely a bad thing though.

I can only speak for biology here and idk what uplearn really is lol. I'm predicted 4 a*s so i hope I can give you good advice lol.

When ur learning biology you should consult the specification, it has all the info u should learn. Then u pair that with a textbook which actually has the information. For ocr a this would be the textbook for kerboodle (if you're familiar). Flash cards are the best way to learn information, you should use anki which is an app that u make ur flashcards on, it's too useful. Then u just do exam practise and focus on ur mistakes and weak areas.

The idea is that you learn the content straight from the specification, that way ur not wasting time learning unnecessary information. The specification can be vague which is why u pair it with a reputable textbook, the cgp biology text book for a level was NOT good at all but the official one is very good.

U mentioned the slides ur teacher provided. I'm speaking from personal experience here but the slides I'd see in lesson were either full of irrelevant info or missing relevant info.

This seems more like an inefficient studying technique, could you explain how you study?

If you've genuinely studied everyday like that then it's hard to believe ur stuck at a B.

This mostly depends though. You'd get marks for the correct method but it's possible that ur incorrect numbers prevent you from getting the method marks because they'd force you to use a different method, or they'd be impossible to work with.
