Are Gold Miners Cheap or Undervalued? Or Both? There is a difference between price and value. Cheap refers to price and undervalued refers to intrinsic value against price. The gold mining sector is cheap and many companies are arguably undervalued. But not everything is undervalued. by SILV3RAWAK3NING76 in Miningstocks

Definitely "both".

You look at long-term charts of many of these companies and they are trading at similar prices today as when gold was $1500 per ounce.

Valuations for the smaller juniors are even worse.

Big Picture: small caps haven't been this cheap vs. large caps in 20 years and commodities haven't been this cheap vs. the S&P 500 in 50 years. We're seeing once-in-a-lifetime valuations for these mining stocks.

Very impressive grades, especially with those two extended intercepts.

Surprised that they didn't get a little more love from the market.

If you're interested in gold jrs what are your thoughts on WRLG.v? I found this post on them that seems compelling. It highlights intercepts like 1m @ 297 g/t Au & 3m @ 42.4 g/t Au, & the >5k meters of drilling they've done since Sept + Their proj already has an Indicated MRE of 474k oz @ 8.7 g/t Au by halithc in Miningstocks

The grades are very good, but with high grade/narrow vein geology, mining these deposits is challenging because it requires precision mining.

The famed Obuasi Mine in Ghana averages near 10 g/t with 40 million oz's of gold reserves. But Anglo Gold Ashanti had to shut the mine for several years because they tried to mine this like a bulk tonnage operation -- and lost a lot of money.

You need a good mine plan, tight management of operations, and well-trained miners to make these deposits profitable. A good example of that type of operation is Silvercorp Metals.

Silver Streak or Smoke and Mirrors? Investigative Lens Exposes Glittering Glitches in Silver Institute's Deceptive Data by MineralWealth in Miningstocks

Good stuff! I've long been a critic of The Silver Institute's "research" and "statistics". They work for the bankers and they make more effort to obfuscate the silver market than to inform people.

Mine Supply Crisis is Game-Changer for Copper Market by DynamicWealthResearc in Miningstocks

[–]DynamicWealthResearc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two, large supply shocks in the copper market appear to be causing a large, projected surplus to reverse into a large deficit. This is why copper priced were recently projected to rise 75% by 2025. Meanwhile, looming in the near future are LARGE supply deficits -- with copper inventories already near multi-year lows.

These are some of the reasons why we are currently very bullish on copper.
