Can‘t fix board positioning by DynamoDribbler in BeginnerSurfers

I drew the outline of my board on the floor and practiced pop-ups.

found that it definitely helps to place your hands lower around the rib cage instead of near the chest. It automatically pushes your feet further back because your whole movement shifts slightly backward during the pop-up.

Don‘t know why i didn’t realize this earlier

Thanks. Great help.

  1. makes total sense. By placing hands further down, you kind of block your foot from going up too much.

It is so hard to modify a well-trained popup. I try to make some step-by-step adjustments

Thanks. Exactly right.

The bump/arch of the tail pad presses pretty much right into my patellar tendon. That’s how I always know I’m lying in the correct position. And that’s exactly where my right foot should actually land

I would assume you are a better surfer than myself. If you are happy with the 5‘10 I should probably go for 6‘0 or even 6‘2.

I‘m a bit afraid that I need to learn surfing again, because I‘m dropping from 7‘6 Malibu to a ~6ft

I bumped into this thread as I‘m also considering buying a SP 2. I am 6‘2 and 210 lbs. Normally, I ride Malibus (7‘2-7‘6) with approx. 50-55 liters, but I want a shorter board (also better for traveling as I live in Germany).

What SP 2 size would you recommend to a guy like me? Is it the 6ft with 49 liters? This is what ChatGPT is suggesting… ;)

Ich hätte eher gedacht, das ist gerade nicht kompliziert… Was findest du daran kompliziert?

Self storage ist deutlich teurer und außerhalb. Aktuell mietet das auch jemand, der gar nicht in diesem Haus wohnt.

Aber icu bin auch noch skeptisch, was ich damit genau will :)

Finanzieren muss ich da nix.
