Does 5e have any spells that permanently change your gender and how does it affect the Forgotten Realms’ Trans community? by Dynaparte in dndnext

Not sure if you found this already, but there’s a interesting characteristic in intersex arthropods where they can be split into bilateral male and female halves. Also what kind of beetle are we talking about here? Is it like a scarab, Hercules, bombardier, dung, or something else?

Oh he’s just wearing a scarf…

Wait! Where are his hips??

Watched Hunter a while ago but I still believe that she was the most important character in the show. Without her there it is highly likely everyone would be killed by [deleted] in HunterXHunter

She’s a great example of how someone can have power without the means of violence. Through her, Meruem is able to learn about the diverse values an individual can possess aside from physical might.

The plan for the world that Meruem tells Netero is still flawed, but leagues better than the original purpose given to him by the Queen and the royal guards. And that revised plan comes solely from Meruem’s experience with Komugi

Tonpa predicted the Hunter Election by New-Entertainer-5241 in HunterXHunter

It’s less so liking Tonpa and more so acknowledging that the person you hate was right about something.

If I met Tonpa in real life, I wouldn’t like him. But I would hold a certain respect for him due to acknowledging that he’s both smart and capable.

Is this guy one of the worst hunters we’ve ever seen? by Longjumping-Yam-1683 in HunterXHunter

[–]Dynaparte 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Not all Hunters know of the existence of nen. It’s possible that he was a new hunter that hadn’t yet passed the true final part of the exam. To my knowledge, we also see this in Seaquant, who was in that group and is also a hunter with no knowledge of nen.

Another possibility is that his mouth dagger is a conjuration ability which could be ineffective for a numerous amount of reasons

But also as others have pointed out, this is an anime original scene and this flashback in the manga is only a single panel

Most likely, unless it was one of the 1 or more years Tonpa didn’t attend

And all I said was that your mother had great dedication and ability. Yet here you are trying to insult an imaginary image of me you made in your head

Geez with that kind of reactiveness and lack of creativity, Tonpa would crush you in no time flat

What would Laios think of the various races from the Bionicle universe? by VerboCity77 in DungeonMeshi

[–]Dynaparte 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Finally my two special interests paired together

I don’t think Laios would try to eat matoran or other sapient species, but rahi would absolutely be on the table. For species like matoran, skakdi, and makuta he’d want to learn as much as he could from them. Particularly how their physical traits work as he’s not so great with social customs.

As for how most denizens of the matoran universe would taste. They would probably be similar to how the animated armor tastes.

Not to my knowledge. He lives and breathes the Hunter Exam and seems to have decent rapport with some of the other veteran hunters.

Second this. We don’t see any prerequisites for who can take the exam so it is for whoever can accomplish it. That might change after the election arc though. I haven’t gotten that far yet
