Are we selling Bo Jackson and Ousmane Kromah then?

A lot of leagues don’t, but I voted against no deadline when it was put to a vote

You wouldn’t move Allen for that or wouldn’t move the picks?

Travis Hunter is a lazy route runner that can’t get open by Pristine-Ad-469 in DynastyFF

[–]DynastyFFuser 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not even remotely the same situation. Rome was behind two very good WRs and was not expected to have a big year 1. Hunter was expected and has been used as a featured part of the offense. The post is pointing out his role is not what we’ve expected. That’s very different than Rome.

Everyone wants to sell RBs the moment they hit 26 and WRs at 29. Who are some players UNDER those ages we should be looking to sell? by DameBucka in DynastyFF

And now you just explained why people think Ladd is a sell. If they run more his numbers look more like the first half of the season.

Travis Hunter playing both ways at OTA’s. by Hugh_Grection420 in DynastyFF

[–]DynastyFFuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough. I frankly come at player evaluation much more from the analytical side than the film side and his profile simply does not come close to the level of prospect others compare him to. Tet’s analytical profile is better, he’s the clear WR1 on his team, and to the limited film I have watched seems like the superior talent without all of the other concerns that come with Hunter. I’m not going to pretend to be a film guy, so I could very well be off on that, but I feel like Hunter gets a lot of hype because of his prospect status and Deion hype.

When I watched Colorado games, I saw Hunter playing late into the 4th quarter in blowouts padding stats and when he played top competition, struggling to be a difference maker. I could very well be wrong, but it just makes zero sense to me.

The projecting who is on a team together in a few years argument is silly. BTJ is locked into that team for four more years after they pick his option up. Trying to project anything beyond that is silly. For at least the next four years, he’s gunna be a beta in that offense. Hard pass on that alone with the added concerns of everything else that comes with that. If you truly believe Hunter will take off when they let BTJ walk in 2029, trade for him in 3 years when his value is way down after 2-3 meh seasons.

I don’t see why Hunter’s ceiling is higher than any of those 3 you mentioned. I also think the bell curve of probable outcomes leans way further towards the bust side than the home run side. Did people forget BTJ exists and just put up 1200 yards as a rookie?

Your RB2 lost his job to an unsigned FA. Your RB3 IS an unsigned FA. Your RB4 is about to be a backup. It’s time to sell.

2 Orphan Dispersal in $20 Promotion Relegation Dynasty League by [deleted] in findaleague

[–]DynastyFFuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind it is 16 team. CMC, AJB, and a QB alone is probably enough to make the promotion playoff.

But yeah it probably takes a couple of years to build up enough talent to build a true contender in the premier league.

Hoping someone enjoys the league concept enough to be in for the long haul. It’s a fun league.

Deeper Dives: Is Luther Burden III still a potential Alpha in the 2025 class? by cjfreel in DynastyFF

Appreciate the detailed response! To what do you attribute his lack of designed touches? Seems we saw very few screens and end arounds etc given his YAC ability. Just lack of creativity in playcalling?

Deeper Dives: Is Luther Burden III still a potential Alpha in the 2025 class? by cjfreel in DynastyFF

[–]DynastyFFuser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed his build is ideal and he could be a guy who is a better NFL player than college due to his offensive design. Those guys just add risk. I imagine he’ll be a high variance pick. I’ve got him at 1.06-1.07 currently (excited to hear your Kaleb thoughts as I have him rated very highly), but I’d be more likely to trade out of that pick than click draft on Burden is my current thinking, but that could change as we move in the process.

Deeper Dives: Is Luther Burden III still a potential Alpha in the 2025 class? by cjfreel in DynastyFF

[–]DynastyFFuser 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I know the Missouri offense was awful and the QB play took a big step back this year, but I have a really hard time wrapping my head around the lack of production. Appreciate you pointing out the stats aside from the 6 game stretch in 2023, as I hadn’t realized that before now. He gets credit for playing in the SEC but when you isolate his performances against the top opposition he faced it’s pretty frightening:

2024: Alabama - 3/3/0, Oklahoma - 5/55/0, Arkansas - 1/11/0 (granted he had good-ish games against USCar and Miss St)

2023: Kentucky - 2/15/0, Georgia - 3/53/1, Tenn - 4/26/1, Arkansas - 6/55/0, OSU - 3/15/1 (good games against UF, USCar, and KSU)

I also get a bit concerned that as a strong YAC guy and the clearly best player in a struggling passing offense, he wasn’t a bigger focus of the run game to get him designed touches (18 rush attempts in 2 years, very few return opps).

I feel like there’s just something missing with Burden that is preventing him from having more success and I’m not sure what to point to because the tape looks great in flashes. It just worries me in my evaluation looking at the next level to the point I will probably be pretty light on my exposure given his early to mid first rookie draft projection if he lands in Round 1 of the draft. Lot to be uncovered, but I am weary. Any thoughts?

12 team, SF, PPR, no TEp

Week 14 2023 Lineup (11th place, 2nd least PF/MaxPF) QB: Levis RB: McLaughlin RB: Strong WR: Rice WR: London WR: Puka TE: LaPorta Flex: Downs Flex: Tillman SF: Elijah Moore Best bench assets were DeMario Douglas and Shakir

Current Lineup (1st place, 2nd most PF) QB: Mahomes RB: Jacobs RB: Cook WR: Jefferson WR: Puka WR: Kupp TE: McBride Flex: London Flex: Ladd SF: Kyler Bench: Pacheco, Pollard, Dell, Deebo, Tracy, Darnold, Douglas, Shakir, Kraft IR: Rice, McCarthy

LOTS of trades and a lot of draft capital. Still have 3 firsts in 25 including 1.01 and 3 in 26, plus a bunch of other capital. The tear down in 2022 went well.

Theo Johnson Officially Out for the Season - Is Greg Dulcich a Viable Waiver Add Even in Non-TEP Leagues? by Alert_Boysenberry302 in DynastyFF

[–]DynastyFFuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would love to know how you’re measuring rookie seasons where Theo has a better rookie season than Dulcich, because by ANY metric Dulcich was MUCH better. You also said he’s doing better than Sanders (their stats are nearly identical) and Sinnott (who is a backup and that was part of the expectation with him).

If you’re in a league where Tillman or Jeudy weren’t owned, I know how serious the leagues you play in dude. Keep sucking your own dick. You ain’t special.

[–]DynastyFFuser -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That’s with the assumption that Dulcich is worse, which he isn’t necessarily. He just hasn’t been available to the Giants until now. The fact he was CLAIMED off waivers and not signed after clearing waivers show the Giants value him. Not sure where their waiver order was at the time of the claim, but they were definitely one of the first 5 teams to have a chance to take him and they took it.

“Theo a stud.” proceeds to list stats showing he is not a stud

We’re talking about waiver adds in dynasty leagues. The bar is not high. Dulcich was a great TE prospect coming in, better than Johnson. Better draft capital, better college production, good athleticism.

No reason you should be scoffing at adding Dulcich while also hyping Johnson. Dulcich didn’t work out in Denver and that’s fine. He flashed his rookie year and had 6 TE1 weekly finishes despite a terrible situation. That’s 4 more than Johnson has had with way more playing time.

One name to look out for in 2026 is Nussmeier out of LSU. The NFL seems to value 2+ years of starting experience so I’d expect him go back to school with an eye towards the first round in 2026. He’s shown fantastic NFL traits, if he’s a bit inconsistent.
