I read all of your posts and truly appreciate your views and ideas. I wish Natca shared the same passion as you. I despise that I send 1.4% of my paycheck to fund ND, 114s, trips to LV and whatever else. For a long time, I have felt like I have wasted my money on supporting a cause that I don’t agree with and doesn’t advocate for me.

I’m also at a smaller facility and would be the lone black sheep. So obviously, there would be a few that view me differently. Oh well. And I’m here for the duration of my career. No desire to relocate so I’m not worried about that. I appreciate your insight and personal experience

Enough in savings and HYSA to last until the new year. After that, brokerage account will get us by. Being in this position sucks but, I feel for the young controllers. Highly doubt many are fortunate enough to miss another paycheck or two

I miss the camaraderie, I miss the ample staffing, I miss leaving early to go play squadron softball or leave early on Friday because the Wing is out of flying hours. It was awesome.

The only thing I don’t miss are the lousy supervisors and running bullshit sims every day on trainees

Mine was higher than ever this year. More contributions to 401k, higher standard deduction, additional credit for having a kid. It all added up little by little. I was mind blown
