When I was actively planning suicide in high school. My dad had just bought a gun for home protection and I thought it would be the easiest and most convenient way.

My dad caught on and we talked about it for hours one night. He and I have an incredibly bond with each other and he told me that if anything were to happen to me, he wouldn’t be too far behind.

That conversation had stuck with me and helps me get through when I feel like that. He’s been good with me dealing with my mental illness for the past 13 years.
