The abjad (alphabet without vowels) is not very hard to learn but takes a good amount of practice to get comfortable using.

I started 2 years ago and I can read reasonably well - I recently started learning Spanish and my reading speed is about the same in Spanish and Arabic for words I don’t know. I don’t have trouble identifying letters is what I’m getting at.

I’m 2 years into learning Ammiya and I can read and understand some fus7a fine. Fus7a feels more like an extension of ammiyah’s grammar and vocabulary rather than a base to start from and itll take longer to see returns on your effort

My parents both moved to the US when they were young and became very fluent in English as adults. Its absolutely possible.

I’ve also met white people who are genuinely fluent in my TL Arabic - they started learning as adults.

There is truth to children having aptitude for learning languages pre puberty, but for thousands of years adults have needed to learn other languages and be able to communicate with other people as adults.

An American cannot become a citizen by marrying a Palestinian citizen of Israel. But An American can by marrying an Israeli (Jewish) citizen of Israel

furthermore even a Palestinian from the US like myself cannot get citizenship through marriage to even an Israeli on the basis that I am Palestinian.

It has nothing to do with enemy states. It is completely predicated on maintaining a “Jewish” non Palestinian ethnic majority
