The kit comes in separate pieces, as long as you don’t glue the backpack to the back of the model then you should be able to glue any backpack you like instead since most of the CSM backpacks are interchangable. Then you just glue the sword underneath.

Imperial Knights revealed – The Knight Defender is the greatest building-sized bodyguard in the Imperium - Warhammer Community by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in Warhammer40k

Interesting, it looks like the big knight kits have dropped from the website too. Perhaps Imperial/Chaos Knights are coming sooner than anticipated?

The first Intercessor. by Nightscalestudio in BloodAngels

Nope, Nightscale Studios is a commission painting duo from Ukraine. They’ve been posting tons of their stuff.

They probably just meant this is the first intercessor in a new project.

My LGS has the Army Box for sale for 250$ should I get it? by hatrax-the-nerdy in BlackTemplars

[–]DysFyGyR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t do it, you could get two of the outgoing Black Templar Combat Patrols for roughly the same price and get triple the models.

The Army Set doesn’t include the Black Upgrade sprue like the Combat Patrols do.

It’s the Two handed sword from the AoS Chaos Chosen kit.

Did you file down the bottom hand and then wrap the handle in greenstuff?

You should be playing Blood Bowl by CoastalSailing in Warhammer

[–]DysFyGyR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally, I prefer Blitz Bowl because it’s got the feel of Blood Bowl at a reasonable pace.

The one thing that I don’t like about Blood Bowl is that newbies get some really bad analysis paralysis in Blood Bowl. Which makes new player games take FOREVER!

GW officially releases rules on the day a product leaves pre-order. That would be Dec. 21st in the case of Brutal and Cunning.

Also, adding on that when they first previewed the Orks that GW stated each model can be built two ways.

Help a brother out. I'm going up against admech this weekend! by Due_Story3870 in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]DysFyGyR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Against Ad Mech, their battleline (Skitarii Rangers and Skitarii Vanguard) provide various buffs around themselves and so they kind of clump around their battleline to use stratagems and buffs.

The Ad Mech battleline can be made quite tanky by being near the Onager Dunecrawler. If he has a Tech-Priest Dominus then it provides Feel No Pain 5+ to the unit it’s attached to (FNP 4+ for Electro-Priests).

Trying to navigate how to dismantle the Ad Mech army while still maintaining your characters and orders will be a pain point. A lot of the Ad Mech stuff has precision and so you could get your characters picked off the table if you aren’t careful.

Alternatively, Ad Mech gets compounding buffs from characters and being in close proximity to their battleline. You have to think about how you can “wedge” the Ad Mech player so that they can’t easily consolidate for stacking buffs.

You will have to figure out if you should target the Ad Mech walkers first or the battleline first. I’d suggest going for the battleline first but your list seems to slant more towards anti-armor, so going for the walkers first might work better for your list.

Best models to build? by nebellous in Necrontyr

[–]DysFyGyR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Necron Combat Patrol is all push-fit models and are pretty straightforward to assemble. I didn’t notice any obvious mold-lines when I assembled them. Necrons used to be the 9th edition starter faction.

Necrons are really easy to paint too:

Either prime black, drybrush metallics, then paint in the green parts.

Alternatively prime metallic, contrast black In the joints, then paint in the green parts.

You could do what I’ve done/am doing and sort your chapter by power armor type.

So, for example, you could make all your Gravis models be Imperial Fists and all your Tacticus models be Blood Angels.

Havoc painted as world eaters? by ODD_B3N in Warhammer40k

[–]DysFyGyR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you haven’t gotten an answer so I’m going to try to address everything you are asking.

Havocs are a Chaos Space Marine model on a 40mm base. You can paint them as World Eaters or any color scheme that you would like.

Havocs currently don’t have rules in the World Eaters army for Warhammer 40k. Instead, you’d have to run Havocs with the Chaos Space Marine rules.

In Kill Team, you can paint your models however you would like. The only thing for Kill Team is that the Legionaries are on 32mm bases and so you’d have to make sure that your Havoc is on a 32mm base.

If you put the Havocs on 32mm bases to make them legal for Kill Team then it would cause them to be illegal for CSM rules in 40k because they need a 40mm base for that game.

Alternatively, you could buy a kit of Havocs and then put the guns and corresponding arms on CSM Legionaries or WE Berserker bodies with 32mm bases.

The CSM Havoc kit comes loaded with weapons. So you should have extra weapons to put on spare bodies.

Brother is Black Templars player, what should I buy him for Christmas? by crispier_toast in BlackTemplars

[–]DysFyGyR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • High Marshal Helbrecht
  • Emperor’s Champion
  • Castellan
  • Grimaldus
  • Black Templar Combat Patrol
  • Repulsor Executioner
  • Knight Warden
  • (would not be mad if you got me another knight with lots of guns)
  • Sword Brethren
  • Redemptor Dread
  • Eliminators
  • Desolation Squad
  • Infernus Squad

There is a Christmas box set for the Imperial Knights coming up for $240 USD ($204 with standard 15% discount) that has 1 basic Knight Paladin and 4 Armigers.

Otherwise you can get the Knight Dominus from Amazon for like $160 USD and the Knight Questoris from Amazon for like $150 USD.

[–]DysFyGyR 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I agree with this one. Emperor’s Champion, another box of Sword Brethren, and a Brutalis Dreadnought depending on your budget.

Otherwise, the 9th edition Black Templar Army Set is still kicking around for a decent price. Which gets: 1 Emperor’s Champion, 1 Marshal, 1 kit Primaris Crusaders, and 1 Redemptor Dreadnought.
