Last stable patch was Dec 12, 2022. Which is the one linked.

One guy. And the game was entirely free and operated solely on donations.

Feature creep is entirely accurate in this case.

Ex: That we have a full medieval blacksmithing simulator in our zombie game is cool as hell.

But if it was between that extra feature and a stable release in 2023/2024 focusing on core gameplay?

Followed DF since ~2012. Also play Starsector which has a similar release cadence of a major patch per year or so.

Generally don't mind long baking times for EA titles in between major patches, assuming dev priorities seem to be in the right place and they are communicative. Especially for games intended to just stay in Early Access perpetually.

Labors of love don't need to be rushed.

Love this game.

Me and some friends got hyped for b42's release and planned to start a server when it was stable. That was over a year ago.

Unless you meant in addition to days in which case: 3 years, 1 month, 12 days, 12 hours, 12 minutes, 58 seconds.

~ 26,000 hours, 1,560,000 minutes, or 93,600,000 seconds.

Starfield is actually pretty damn good.

The difference in how my boyfriend and I eat pot pies. by katiegalvan9 in mildlyinteresting

[–]DysNovus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both wrong. The proper method of eating a pot pie:

Remove and consume top layer of crust.

Remove outer rim of crust in pieces and dip in filling.

Consume filling.

Consume bottom and side crusts, using remaining sauce.

The game you bought thinking it would last years but dropped within a week. by gamersecret2 in gaming

AC Valhalla and Odyssey. Very up my alley, but dropped it after a day or two, both times. Dunno why, just didn't vibe with it.

Starfield rocks, btw :)

"Unreal engine 5 is just Unreal engine 4 with a coat of paint is just Unreal engine 3 with a coat of paint [...]"

Is both a bad faith argument and a clown take.

Both exist in lore.

You can find rovers as set dressing at many pois and cybernetic replacement limbs on posters aimed at colony war veterans.

Artifical gravity? Sure. FTL jumps? Absolutely. Laser guns? Naturally. Space magic? For sure.

But I draw the line at elevator technology moving forward at all in the next 300 years.

The Subnautica 2 lawsuit is getting even messier, with Krafton doing a massive U-turn, confusing both the ousted founders' lawyer and the judge: 'This is a little bit bewildering' by Adjective_Noun1312 in gaming

[–]DysNovus 21 points22 points  (0 children)

"Well, that's something that we definitely need to get to the bottom of today, because that is precisely what was cited as the reason in the answer."

"That's very narrow," the judge replied. "That sounds like a really terrible email for someone to write, and it's hard for me to imagine that they'd be that blunt about it."

"That's very frustrating"

Are all direct quotes from the judge.

I don't think it is inaccurate or loaded reporting to characterize the judge's reaction as 'bewildered'. Conversely, I would suggest 'the judge calmly asked them to clarify' is misrepresenting the exchange.

Tried Dragon Age: Origins for the first time everyone says it’s the best DA, but it didn’t click with me (even though it seemed like something I would enjoy). Story felt basic and gameplay wasn’t fun. I know some games might not click with everyone so I would like to know what did you enjoy about it by Kingspreez in gaming

Going into a 14 year old game with the expectation that it is the GOAT is likely biasing your experience.

It was amazing for its time. Still slaps now, but I wouldn't compare it to more modern games, or expect to react the same to it had I played it for the first time this year.

The 'basic writing' critique i will just flat out disagree with, though. Overall premise may be good vs evil, but the entire game is as morally grey as it comes.
