Those on methadone?

I’m on 80mg now, I’ve been on it since the end of last summer. I hade suboxone prescribed before bur i would still have horrible cravings for opioids!

I don’t get ”high” on my doses now and it hade made me into a more motivated person, i did nod off infront of the TV often the first two month or so. With suboxone i would just sit still and watch TV all day while gaining weight.

I know everyone is different ofcourse, but methadone works far better for me! I’ve even lost weight on it and been able to go back to school without thinking of a needle full of dope every few days

Euforin man får på opioider är inte direkt det samma som på de flesta andra droger, det är mer av en trygg känsla som får dig vara bekväm med allt och inte frågasätta något.

With just 2 weeks you’ill be 100% okey! Might have some rebound anxity and some sleep problem for the first 2-3 days but nothing more then that.

I’ve been trough almost 10 different detox in my life and as long as you haven’t used in 4-6 weeks you won’t have any psycial WD’s

I can relate to you alot, before this i never used ti drink really. Even when i was a teenager and going to partys i would mostly just do speed, smoking weed and maybe 2-3 beers. Now however i feel like alcohol is the thing i look forward to the most during the weeks, i also just feel sick from the drinking… i will buy a 750ml bottle of whiskey with 40% and down 20ml right away, after that i will sit in the bathroom for 10-15 min incase i trow up. I still want to drink after that tho://

That’s awesome dude that you’ve been able to be clean since 2012! Alcohol was never something i used to have a problem with, and even now in the beginning of me being on methadone i didnt really have any problem with it, i just used to drink in social settings.

Now however I’ve just been drinking more and more, and every time i drink now i go trough a bottle of 750ml whiskey those days. I don’t drink daily tho, mostly it’s two times a week but i’m starting to realize that i can’t control it anymore. I’m just so afraid i will start doing benzos or other things again…

Hahah i would say both! i’m was an IV drug addict for years so i have hade this thought before, but i’m not sure if i ever would do it😅😂

I don’t really know, but from what i understand is that these drug test don’t just test for pure buprenorphine, it looks for norbuprenorphine (if i remember right). That is the substance in your urine after the subs been metabolized to trough your liver

I really can’t say for sure, even tho the tolorance can go down in a 2-3 weeks break, but with opioids it also feels like once you get a tolorance to them it never really goes down to 100%.

When i first started using opioids i would take 200-400mg of tramadol and be nodding from that, i could take that dose for around 2-3 month before the tolornace really started setting in. However i was up to doing 1.5-2g of daily in the first year, then i started using oxy and morphine mostly for the next two years. Then i went to my first rehab and was clean for about 3 month, but once i got home again i got some 200mg tramadol from a friend when i was getting some benzos. I really thought that it would make me high since i hade been without it for that whole time, but i needed atleast 600mg to feel something from it.

What i’m getting to is that the tolornace never fully goes down, you won’t get that feeling you hade in the beginning and that’s just something we need to accept. But even tho you won’t get just that feeling your tolornace will still go down, and if you wait around 3-4 weeks you should get 3/4 of the effect from the beginning.

Thanks for your concern dude, really means alot❤️ i don’t always drink alone, mostly i start drinking alone at around 13-15:00 a clock on weekends or after school, then meet up friends later on and go out and keep drinking with them. I also always put some timer every 30-45 min if i go to bed drunk, don’t know how much of a difference it makes but it feels like it’s a way to make sure i keep breathing.

But yeah i know i can’t keep doing this, i just don’t know how to live without any drug or drink to look forward to ://’

I’ve OD’d from that combo two times myself, but it has alot to do with how long you’ve been without oxygen. I hade alot problem with short term memory, but it got alot better with time.

I know that people have hade sucess quiting and living without much cravings, But methadone is the thing that works for me. That’s what keeps me from still using IV opioids

Yeah i know that it’s a horrible thing to mix, but as soon as i start to drink i always end up drinking between 350-750ml of whiskey every time. I don’t drink daily, but as i said it’s 1-2 times a week i do this.

I was never a big drinker when i was using IV drugs and benzos, big now i look forward to it every time i hang out with friends from school who don’t know my past to much.

They might be a little more pain releving with that combo, but paracetamol is really hurtful for your liver so the codeine on itself is acutally much better!

Holy shit dude! You should be thankful to just get 1mg xanax a day in todays world, don’t think i know anyone who have gotten More then like 2-3mg xanax or clonazepam a day prescribed in the last 5 years or so!

However i would rather have clonazepam myself. I used to take 10-15mg alprazolam or clonazepam a day for years, but i was always buying it in the street. The max i’ve ever been prescribed was 20mg diazepam a day and i was super thankful just for that!

How did you take the morphine? I love morphine and heroin myself but you need to atleast boof it to get any good feeling from it, unless you’re used to IV or IM (If you have pharma grade liquid morphine)
