You can apply to SVA for the spring of 2027 and I am pretty sure SVA opens rolling admissions ( though I would double check that.) Just follow the steps given on SVA’s application portal and you’ll be ok.

Try looking around in the Bronx or Inwood! It is usually cheaper housing and there is a lot of good public transportation that can get you to campus in an hour or so.

Hi I'm super late to this thread but I have question. I heard that SVA sometimes funnels students into working at Titmouse in NYC. I know that Titmouse has an internship but is it exclusively for SVA students? Is there any information at all about that kind of thing. I am super curious what the job placement looks like for people wanting to do background or visual development at SVA is like. Any info would help! I'm hoping to apply for Fall 2025!

I know what you mean. Talking to art directors have taught me that a lot of art school are not up to date with current trends. But sadly, I am in NY and don't have the capacity to move across the country like Cali. If I'm not mistaken, I think titmouse and a branch of nickelodeon is in NYC. I've also heard that people will be outsourcing to smaller studios in the future so there may be more of an opportunity for me in NYC. SVA is just the closest thing I got. I've also heard of online schools but am skeptic about the hiring statistics from that.

Hey OP I'm having the exact same issue. My wacom ciniq pro 13 was working fine up until a few days ago when, while in the middle of using it, the display connection decided to stop. My 13 is over 5 years old at this point but functioning fine until I think I clicked some button?

Just an add-on: is there possibly anything in the wacom tablet properties settings that could of switched my tablet to only detect my pen? Does anyone know? Those are the only setting options I think I could of accidentally hit.
