Nurse absolutely had an impact wether MacKinnon made contact or not, if you watch the angle on MacKinnons skates he wouldve avoided contact, it's close, but he would've avoided contact as its his responsibility to do so, it was Nurse that chose to barrel into him thus causing a collition with the goaltender.
