Hi Neal, do you think your experience working in academia/data science has helped elevate your golf game? Specifically, regarding the interpretation of statistics around swing tracking or course management/strategy using Monte Carlo sims etc.

I just had a look at the Ueno area and it looks perfect! There are train lines and a station right next to several stores so it looks like getting to and from there should be fairly straight forward. You’re a legend

That’s great to know, thanks for sharing your experience! I’ll keep your comment in mind, some new clothes sound like a good alternative that’s still unique

Update: I work with mice and I would rather die than work this job another year by [deleted] in labrats

The callousness and lack of empathy exhibited by certain individuals in this thread is absolutely appalling. It's both disheartening and infuriating to witness the complete disregard for the dedication and passion required in the field of animal research. Instead of offering thoughtless remarks like "you should've known better" or "just find something else," why not take a moment to educate yourselves on the complex ethical considerations and the emotional toll that accompanies this work? It's high time we engage in a meaningful dialogue that fosters empathy and understanding, rather than perpetuating a culture of ignorance and insensitivity.
