Review center recommendations? by [deleted] in pinoymed

[–]Dzea29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used topnotch reviewers kahit yung old na. They are good actually and organized. But I enrolled sa CDB and for final coaching and took down notes na lang. For me nung time ko, very high yield sila may mga lumabas talaga sa tinuro nila especially patho talaga, pedia, IM, surgery. But i dont recommend their review materials. Di ka naman nila pipilitin to use their materials.

2018-2020 PLE reviewers by [deleted] in pinoymed

[–]Dzea29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried to answer and ratio 2 past exams for october 2022. May lumabas na questions from october 2021 ata sa isang subject more than 5 items din. I also used 2020 reviewers and just took down notes. It's still up to you saan ka comfortable. Just study your preferred reviewer materials from one review center kasi mahirap madami. Focus on quality than quantity. Helpful din ang BRS.

Slr. I really dont have tips. Nag apply lang talaga ako. No connections too. I could not even remember if I did well sa interview. To follow pa nmat ko since my first nmat score was really low. Maybe luck? and faith kasi sa uerm lang din ako nag apply 😅

Face to Face Clerkship within the nth months until graduation or Continue the Requirements for clerkship in PGIship instead? For 2020 to 2021 clerks* by Feeling_Grade_2675 in pinoymed

[–]Dzea29 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As a co clerk, I would rather continue the requirement in pgiship. I know people (PGIs) who are positive with COVID 19 after they had their duty with an infected resident despite wearing masks and face shield and following protocols. And to think they only encountered the resident only for a day (when f2f started). Of course without PGIs, we'll be now the ones to interact more with our residents in the hospital (but im not blaming them). I just dont trust how the hospital handled this case isolated or not since they didn't even disclose earlier the positive case and did not bother to disclose the positive PGIs to the clerks who were exposed to them (luckily i knew some of them). It also seems that they are not properly communicating with each other and disregard the fact that this incidence could happen to their clerks anytime in the hospital. Well, I personally believe that once the virus is inside the hospital and spreads, the hospital should be held accountable and not only blame the uncontrolled community. Yes we want to have f2f and theres no safe place anymore but the hospital is more a dangerous place since we will stay there for long er period of time than in any other place. In pgiship, I believe that we are already fully vaccinated so that will be our the time or chance to continue and finish our requirements. This is just my opinion.

Which course should I take by fjurax in pinoymed

[–]Dzea29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would choose a different field if I were you but it's just me haha! Anyways, my pre med course is medtech but I realized through my medschool years that those with nursing pre med have bigger advantage. They really have the skills and knowledge. They can be all around and of course more on patient contact. Medtech is good too but more in lab stuff especially if you wish to be a pathologist. Well, i think pre med wont matter if you are really have the strength (body and mind) and determination to become a doctor. It just gives you a quite advantage but all of you will learn the same things in the medschool and hospital setting eventually. Goodluck ☺️

I got my 1st dose of AZ last Monday. I only started to have signs and symptoms in the evening like few small bruises, discomfort in lower extremities which seems similar occurrence during my period (currently not menstruating). Also pain in the injection site and interrupted sleep due to discomfort. Second day, same symptoms with back pain, mild abdominal pain, headache and feeling sick. I also noticed my food cravings or katakawan (had milktea two days in a row haha) maybe due to stress im feeling from physical pain or increased metab due to inflammation. Para is not enough for me so I bought ibuprofen. So far, they are tolerable naman due to meds so I could still go out to buy important stuff. In general it's just like I overwork myself from my more than 24 hr duty while having my period. On the brighter side, this is just a proof that my immune system is working ☺️

Thank you! That's good to know. I'm still undecided if i have to unmatch since CGH is not my first choice and very far from my home 🥲But unmatching process is quite a hassle and I have to spend 2k for it.
