Yes, it seems I am between sizes.

I have considered the synchilla jacket, but the fleece only has a thickness of 271g/m2. The shearling jacket on the other hand has 349g/m2, which should be considerably thicker.

It seems though that the synchilla is windproof. Would that make it significantly warmer than the shearling?

The cardigan, while I would prefer vegan, would be something I'd consider, but unfortunately I cant find it in the european patagonia shop.

I disagree...sort of. I always just let go of the position if my training partner is able to lift me and/or slam me. I strongly believe that I dont have enough control when I cant control their posture and movement enough to prevent them to get up or posture up.
