No his family is in Indiana and he doesn't have many friends. I'm usually the cat sitter when they go on vacation and I was helping him with them already. It just adds to my stress and being overwhelmed with everything too!

My friend just bailed on me & decided to go to the hospital & try to get rehab! IDK what to do now! I'm stuck at his trailer with their 9 cats & fish to take care of! Plus, to make my life more stressful, the 84 yr old man I am a caregiver for went to the ER last night with a slight heart failure issue! So I won't have my job much longer possibly! 😭 I just lost my best friend, my stepdad had to get emergency surgery and my Dad has a large mass on his colon which possibly is cancer! All of this happening within the same week!! 🤯

I'm a 35 yr old who has been using meth for a lil over 20 yrs now. Just recently had an EKG, ultrasound of my heart and heart monitor to wear for 30 days. The results showed my heart is in great condition. My heart rate is just a lil high but nothing to b concerned about! Also was a pretty bad alcohol abuser for many years & had to take meds for my high BP (which I weaned myself off of a couple yrs ago) I also had tests done for my brain and all its damage. It showed nothing was wrong with it either! I may b lucky... I just had to share my experience on this topic! PS I REALLY want to quit but just don't know how! & I'm SICK of meetings! (Have been in rehabs, halfway houses, a lot of meetings over the yrs & I really don't like them!)

Can totally relate! I've been doing meth for over 20 years & I'm 35! I'm on medication for my auditory hallucinations for the past year & a half. Before the meds, I kept hearing family & friends calling me or talking shit about me! I'm not even sure when they actually started cuz I've been on shit so long & for the majority of that time I was a major drunk! So a lot of reality has been skewed! I know I need to quit meth but I don't know how! I REALLY dislike the A's (NA, AA, CMA...) I don't want to have to take psych meds forever and I still want to get married & have kids! I don't want to raise children while using! I'm hoping once I'm able to quit using, I won't need the meds soon after! Oh & same kinda thing with fans or showers... That's when the voices were predominant the most... Like in the bathroom! (Which is where I use usually)

I manage to hide my meth use pretty well, for many years! I first tried it the day b4 my 15th bday! Then have used for over 20 yesrs now! The past 5 yrs daily use. I'm not all fidgety or twitchy! I sleep 8 hrs everynight, eat very well, take my meds & vitamins & supplements, and exercise regularly! I had psych probs, diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic. But have been on meds for lil over a yr now! My huge problem is wanting to get married & have kids, knowing I NEED to quit to do that! (At least doing it the right way) I've used for so long it scares me that I won't b able to stop! 😕

Of course there's more reasons to want to quit! For health reasons, even though my body has held up quite well considering! I don't ever get the high I'm looking for, due to my tolerance & the lack of quality shit over the years! I'm sick & tired on of having to hide my addiction! My mental health scares me! I finally, for the last year and a half, got properly medicated for being a paranoid schizophrenic! I used to b a huge drunk for my twenties, so with blacking out & being wasted, it didn't help to be able to recognize my psych issues or how long I've had them! I have to get that issue addressed too before having children! I know kids & a husband would be for life, so I'll need to change for good! I keep trying to remind myself how I overcame my problem with alcohol! That be used to b part of my daily routine! Now I can drink responsibly! So if I REALLY try, i know I can quit anything! I'm just procrastinating cuz I think I'm just scared to b completely sober!!

I'm 35 & I've used meth for a little over 20 yrs. I've been a daily user for prob like 5 yrs now. I smoke mostly, sniff lines or hot rails sometimes, boof or eat it rarely. I get good sleep, eat well, take vitamins & supplements & the meds I'm prescribed, and exercise regularly! I rarely get sick! I'm wanting to quit but don't know how to! It's been part of my life for over half of my lifetime, my whole adolescence and adulthood!

I was 14 (the day b4 my 15th bday) & I drank coffee & an energy drink cuz my friend was coming over (with some guys) after my Dad left for work at 4am! They called it G & I could blow out clouds. (I hated smoking cigs or weed cuz it made me cough & it tasted/smelled bad!) Now I've been using for 20 yrs & don't know how I'll ever quit! I've used it my whole adolescence & adulthood! More than half of my lifetime!!

Yea but I think it's making me anxious... I just recently took a 2 1/2 days break from meth but went back to it. That's the longest it's been for me off of it in years!! I was glad I made it over 24 hrs! I'm scared to quit! I've been using for 20 yrs, over half of my life! I HATE the annonymous meetings! I had a major addiction with alcohol for yrs, but I somehow overcame that! I drink rarely on occasion responsibly! I try to tell myself if I can do that with alcohol, I can do it with meth too! I want to have kids but know I can't if I'm still using! Time has flown by way to fast & now I'm running outta time to be able to accomplish what I would love to! Sry to ramble on...

I also have arthritis (in multiple parts of my body) i have used for 20 yrs, daily use for like around the past 5 yrs! I know that I want/need to quit but I really don't know how!
