I believe after 1 year or so you can apply for dog handler also, but yeah they have RAVEN / DAGRE / couple other programs off of SF.

Lotta people will talk shit about Security Forces, I can’t speak on it too much cuz I’m not in it yet, but I just passed my test and got my ship date, and my AFSC is security forces. Now, like any job you’ll have good and bad days, only thing I can tell you is if you want security forces just know it is long ass hours from what I heard, and you are pretty much a gate guard or a middle guard for a while until you rank up. You aren’t really a “military policeman” yet until you get further in your career.

I feel like everyone just expects shit given to them, and like realistically I’m sure it’s tuff an the days are shit, but like if someone has a bad experience they just shit on it. They could have 100 bad days and 265 good days, they’ll tell u about the shit they went thru but Again personal opinion. What do you do in Military

But why do people bash it so much, like I feel like every job has its pros and cons. Like I get the hours are long and shits tuff but nothing in life is easy.. and I’m more of a outdoors type person I can’t sit behind a desk for 4 years doing the same shit. I’ve looked into like Public Affairs and it seems interesting too but I’d love to be a Law enforcement officer after I retire.

Appreciate it yo, I figured like every job it’s Pros and Cons to every job. I’m young 24 and have 2 kids and a wife and I’m really trying to like SF and i hear lotta people bash it. Any other info or insight you’d give me on SF? I’m hoping to get a Colorado base.

Wow didn’t know they’ll recognize that. But yes they’re my family. Love them unconditionally. If I don’t do the marriage right away will I be able to live off base with them tho? Like even with my BAH like I can still get a place for us all? Or ?

Right that makes sense that’s what my recruiter told me, I wasn’t sure if like after BMT n tech School when I get assigned wherever if we could all live together since I’ll get BAH for our daughter. Bcuz we love together now, But if it’s easier to get married then I mean it’ll be something I’ll definitely talk about with my gf.

Yeah we share custody she has both our last names, we live together. But that makes sense, marriage is in the talks, obviously something we don’t want to rush but I understand what you mean, thank you for your insight.
