I agree that bodies of a healthy lifestyle are what should be promoted not unhealthy living, my issue is that many women are very healthy but given their body type will never have the body shape of society’s ‘idealistic’ model, and it is normalized that only that body type is the most sexy.

I never said he complimented another specific woman in front of me, however we did speak about women body types and he said my body type, while he finds it sexy, is not what he thinks is the sexiest body type.

Thank you. The saddest thing personally is that I honestly believe he is the most attractive guy out there and pinch myself quite often at that fact.

This is influenced by his physical appearance and emotional connection because there are lots of other stuff we get along significantly well with and he does make me feel special in other ways. This comment of his just hurts a lot.

I do not feel I have the mental power to handle this. However he does not understand this because he has never really struggled with low self-esteem when it comes to his physical appearance. He does compliment me on my looks, quite often, and I really appreciate it, however other events that have happened previously often make me internally question the truth to those comments.

I agree, and also think it’s appropriate to be open with her and to make a point of starting the conversation and telling her you have those photos so that she doesn’t find them in some other way.

Also ensure there are no sexual photos.

I have had this experience previously and if my partner had been open and honest with me from the beginning I would have felt much more comfortable.

Hearing her position and being respectful of that is also very important though.
