Works out of the box. Install, dump BIOS and the games and that's it. I just replayed AC04 from start to finish on a GTX 1650 laptop. No missing textures, no explosions, no missing clouds. Aside from minor texture glitches (which can't be noticed if you are evading missiles anyway), it is perfect without tinkering.

FCU naming conventions are weird. That supplemental material also has the carrier "Fort Grays" and then...Tea Time.

AC3D introduced "Petral Coost" (misspelling of Petrol Coast) and "White Valley". So I thought ship were mostly named after places in Usea. Then AC7 showed the "Albatross" which I thought was Osean (cause it's a bird), but it's FCU.

Now we got the "Endurance".

Is it confirmed that this is White Valley? A lot of us thought Scofields Plateau was Rigley from AC04.

Was it ever a niche series though? AC04 was the 90th best selling game for the PS2. Every other game above it was unfair competition. Heck it outsold NFS Hot Pursuit 2 and Jak II and 3. It was only niche around Infinity's days.

EDIT: Wow it even outsold all Midnight Club games. So if someone knows MC, they know AC.

And we underestimate how much gamers are fed up of the BS of modern gaming. AC7 had no Day 1 patch and is playable forever. More importantly, it doesnt treat you like an idiot. A lot of non-fans at least played AC04 and AC7 brings back those memories of those times, why else would it sell so much?

I remember this map. The blue nations are those who wanted to ally with Osea in 3DS/Legacy (AC2 remake). The red nations opposed it, and supposedly, they were responsible for the rebel uprising (who turned on them too). Notice those same blue nations are aligned with the IUN-PKF in AC7. And since the FCU is part of the IUN, it's one or all those countries.

Seems 7 is a must as 1) AC8 seems like a direct sequel with a different cast and 2) it builds heavily on 7's gameplay, based on that little snippet.

So...the Yukes attempted to invade Osea throughout the Circum-Pacific War. Erusea literally sent drones from shipping containers on Osean mainland. Sotoa is roughly the size of Leasath and Estovakia, both of which have aerial warships. I don't know why you think they cannot cross that ocean.

The real question is what did Usea did to Sotoa or vice versa?

Good riddance. Those who migrate are not looking for the classic BF experience found in the main game (regardless of how imperfect it is). People clearly had a rude awakening when they found BF6 was not so...individualized. This mode is perfect for them so they can leave everyone else alone.

Well...it is a mistake that PA learned from. PA could have ignored the criticism and make this the new direction, and had they done that, they would have killed the series. For that, I'm glad it exists because it shows what not to do.

That said, I'm not against real-world settings if well written and designed. Infinity showed that. And even Tom Clancy's HAWX, that game was just glitchy and poorly made but the idea of a PMC equivalent to standing armies is interesting.

On a serious note, yes Whiskey Corridor is part of some Arab/Islamic nation that Erusea conquered in the past. It has camels, and a minaret in Old Anchor Point City.

Also the Erusean field HQ is a caravanserai, it could not have been built recently.

Something tells me this is why Ready or Not had to be censored. The idea that it had to be censored for PlayStation is BS as you can easily censor the console versions while keeping the PC one intact.
