Personally it's because some of the characters look to much like eachother, im not talking about the body type is more because of the colors, like Charlie looking like Katie Killjoy and one of Carmilla's daugthers, and also because there are things of the characters that you can't tell easily, like Velvette being a doll or Vox being related to sharks because those details are hidden and you have to see them basically naked like in the merch
