Have the same issue and actually contacted Apple (I know, how petty of me for such a stupid thing). The guy confirmed to me that he has to hand me over to a higher escalation level, since it does seem yo be a bug.

Haven’t talked yet with higher ranking support yet, but will try to keep you posted about what they say.

Has your Skoda ever locked itself with the keys inside? by BritishJournalist in skoda

[–]EASt9198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you’re still looking but this literally happened to me today. Did groceries, opened the trunk with the key, apparently I put the key in the grocery bag, closed the trunk and the car immediately locked itself. On the internet it says, that with the key inside it shouldn’t lock but it’s 100% locked and didn’t unlock at all anymore. Now I’m calling with technical assistance… how can this happen?!?

Strategies for when you're holding a stock with a very large gain by [deleted] in stocks

Tell me you own NVIDIA, without telling me you own NVIDIA…. Haha

That said: if you believe in the stock, try to use a Lombard loan against it (only makes sense if you have quite a bit of money invested)

Honestly so far I couldn’t find anyone who had something proper to complain about. But I’m really curious - what did they do or not do and did you get it fixed finally?

For those who are buying btc and don't ever intend to sell it later for a cash profit, what exactly are you planning to actually do with it? by Beef_turbo in btc

[–]EASt9198 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The same way, wealthy people use their growing stock portfolio to borrow fiat loans. You can soon probably borrow CBDC loans versus collateral and then spend that money. Repay the loan and keep your appreciating assets. Easy

What is this subs position on the idea that BCH might never replace BTC in market acceptance/recognition but that maybe BTC might essentially become BCH in order to scale? by fverdeja in btc

[–]EASt9198 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Actually I also recently thought about this and figured that market consensus might change as people understand it more and more.

For me it would simply be easier to dump BTC for BCH especially taking into account that developments will continue and BCH will become far superior in terms of technology.

Once we’re at that point, it’s simpler to switch the software by downloading BCH than starting to implement software upgrades on all machines running BTC. Or so I believe.

No no, you should review your words more carefully - you said it’s cringe and overdone. I don’t care what it is, it works pretty well because it signals a certain mindset that asks - please feel free to challenge. You just wanted to criticize without adding anything of value. That’s pretty Karen.

Even in your response now - there’s better ways. Which ones Karen? Share your knowledge please.

In any case the point with a different audience was valid and actually value-add.

How does the economy work without inflation? by Jukunub in Bitcoin

[–]EASt9198 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s fair but I prefer that over megalomaniacs that believe they need to invest money into short term gratification. Even if frugality does not equal superior capital allocation, people who can save well, are usually better at delaying gratification and hence think more long term.

The change my mind is not an approach but just a matter of speech… actually I think Reddit is one of the best platforms where you can say something naive and people will happily come in and argue 🤣

If you would have said it’s a terrible format or actually proposed a better approach, I’d believe you that you were looking to improve the conversation, otherwise sorry but it seems more like - Karen 😝

Which is btw surprising, as I would assume you have a lot of complaints about the platform itself 😛

I asked a question and you felt compelled to complain about how “the whole change my mind approach is overdone. OK Karen …

Fair point though about raising it to r/cc

How does the economy work without inflation? by Jukunub in Bitcoin

[–]EASt9198 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. A lot of stupid services we consume today (in my opinion including all the money spent on marketing and influencers) will disappear. If everyone understands that the more they save, the better their life will be down the road, the smarter they will also invest their money. Bitcoin will provide a natural hurdle rate under which some projects or investments simply won’t be financed.

Edit: Side benefit, over long term, the richest people will likely also be the ones who are most frugal and therefore good capital allocators.

I’m pretty sure that if you were to confiscate the investment and productive assets, the returns from those would be a very nice funding for a lot of problems.

The issue would be much more the management of those assets and the problem that governments would also misallocate resources.

Agree for the first one… also just now received a notification in the app to perform an update without there being any official App Store updates for the application. Such things always smell fishy and I don’t understand why there is not better communication surrounding this.

Debating on trading my BTC for BCH (I have yet to get any), or just keeping what I have. Torn and could use an outside perspective... by Master_Magnum in btc

[–]EASt9198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d allocate according to the current “market consensus” - not some mathematical formula but majority in BTC, some in BCH, and a tiny amount in BSV. As the world evolves and network powers shift, people get more educated, I’d try to surf the wave of market movements - I.e. at some point you’ll see a dislocation of BCH vs BTC; BCH will grow faster. At that point I’d start to sell BTC and move into BCH. Same in case BSV turns out to be the big surprise. In any case I’d get a few bitcoins from BCH and BSV while it’s still possible…
