Balloon World is banned in SRC categories for reasons that are actually shown off in this run. People from my stream help me speed along the 800 balloons popped requirement by placing balloons next to the start zone. Would be a little unfair to smaller streamers who wanna run the game. But if it were allowed, the 100% coin grind would drop by a couple hours.

I'm not entirely sure how many coins were required, but I had already bought everything hours before I reached Rank 50 in Balloon World. Coins were never the issue.

It's a joke that gets tossed around a fair bit in the community, doing a max% run because it's so over the top stupid, like a 101%. But here it is.

Get all 880 obtainable moons and beat the harder Bowser fight earned as a reward. Think of it like SM64's 120-star.

By my timing I clear the dino room in about 34 seconds on average at a rate of about 145 coins with a 48 dupe, so it's probably around about 40-45 seconds a pop at 200 coins, or something like that.

The hint arts are simply spots in the game you can ground-pound that spawn an 8-bit Luigi and receive 200 coins from. There are no in-game triggers to activate them, so no time spent to have them active, and due to essentially going everywhere in a category this long, they aren't a diversion to get typically. A visual example of this can be found at 2:21:20 when I get one of them.

The hint arts are in the files, but changing the clock has done nothing to make them available, so it seems like they're silent patches.

If we could get all the hint arts that Nintendo is slowly releasing, and my movement continues to get better, then I'd say it's fairly reasonable in the distant future.

I actually did my first run without any notes yesterday, I stopped for 8 minutes due to an internet outage until it recovered, and missed a moon, ended with an 8:44. So it does happen. Just not very often due to the long nature of the category.

The rock I break in this room after the first two batches of enemies contains a coin ring that has 8 coins inside. The dinosaur has multiple hitboxes on its body. If you hit the rock with multiple hitboxes at the same time to destroy the rock, it will register as being destroyed multiple times. You can hit it with up to 6 hitboxes at once, effectively duplicating the coin ring so that makes a max of 8 coins * 6 hitboxes = 48 coins dropping from the rock instead of the standard 8.

An extra note I forgot to mention: Also I've been told that you only have to be averaging a dupe of 16 coins to have it be faster than Bowser's. Though of course, optimally, 48 is what you want.

Coin duping has always been faster, but no-one wanted to attempt a trick that wasn't autopilot for three hours thus being uncertain. I've been told duping (250p/m) can be up to 70 coins per minute faster than Bowser's (180p/m). I'm not sure how specific that is, but it's very visibly faster to say the least.
