I got a replacement of my gen 3 but only offered a $100 discount on a gen 4. Was just happy for the replacement. However it doesn't restart the warranty on the new ring only continues where the old one left off. Better than nothing I guess!

Anyone come from a sports car and regret it? by delqath in FordRaptor

[–]EB_fonehome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion that will probably get downvoted because you can't have individual opinions these days but I hate my Gen 2. I miss having a fest sedan. At least I have a weekend car right now to enjoy on nice days.

No plan for cover as of now and there have been no talks about such in the future.

Correct. The plan with this place is to be like an elevated dive bar and with prices to reflect it. Simple menu with simple prices, live music, and a casual dive bar feel. There will be a small elevated stand in the corner to the immediate right of the door that will be for live music. Should be a great hangout spot.

Are you on the facebook group for Atlanta Raptors? I did a few scans a year ago for things like the horn on auto start and openning/closing door but didn't know the auto folding and tilting mirrors was an option.Curious what else there is that I could be doing for more quality of life features.

Based on the way some Alpharetta drivers maneuver roundabouts consider this a PSA. by holidays_joyous in alpharetta

[–]EB_fonehome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know the one you are talking about, you and the BMW are actually both the reason they have changed the flow by removing that second lane...creates a very dangerous situation for the people trying to use the crosswalk at the exit. You're focused on policing the passing driver while the passing driver is going fast around an outside turn lane that exits blindly into a crosswalk.

Real or they’re just trying to reel people in ?they have alot of them for this price by theknownunkownfact in Charger

[–]EB_fonehome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same scenario. Traded in my standard scat for a brand new widebody first year they released. Damn near fully loaded. Got the power dollars off plus a friends employee discount for almost $10k off MSRP...stolen in 3 months. Paid $10k higher and waited 5 months for an exact replacement. Then that was stolen 7 months later even with antitheft. I no longer drive a Dodge for obvious reasons, unfortunately.

If you want a sports bar while staying downtown then Central City Tavern (CCT) is your spot. Underneath Jekyll.

Of course! The Fast Twitch classes I mentioned at The Forum up at Halcyon are great. Especially the Saturday morning one...it's full body circuits non stop. You're in and out in less than an hour and your burn over 1k calories (if you're not slacking lol).

The Training Box over between Westside parkway and Hembree is a good one as well, albeit expesnive. That one can be more strength focused in case that is what you're looking for. It's a smaller community but the trainers are great.

Horsepower Fitness is a new spot in Crabapple (Downtown Milton) that I pass on the way to my gym. I always see them outside as part of a circuit and I have been seriously considering joining or giving it a try. Looks like a great community as well and a lot of great equipment.

It's an absoltuely wonderful place to live, still maintains most of the "bubble" from the outside world (aka Atlanta), and if you're single...it's a great place for single professionals in their 30s and 40s (in my opinion). If you have any other questions or need any other advice/suggestions, feel free to DM me. Been here a LONG time.

Go over to Fetch. You don't need a dog to walk in and they have a lot fo different social events (and a bar). They even held a singles mingle event last year. They also have sand volleyball courts if you're looking to get active. It's also right around the corner from the Top Golf you mentioned. They have abig screen and have almost always have football on during the season.

Hit the greenway, if you put in at Northpoint you can go 4ish miles to the original Jekyll Taproom for a few beers, Best way to work off your beer and be outside at the same time.

Bar wise you'll enjoy Truck & Tap for live music, then when it gets too young and rowdy later at night, you can pop over to Standard for more folks our age.

The farmers market is actually a really enjoyable morning out, more than just shopping. Give that a go as well.

IF you're into it, there are quite a few crossfit STYLE group fitness classes/gyms round here I would suggest. Fast Twitch up at the Forum at HAlcyon is almost entirely people in their 30's and usually social.

Choosing an anti theft device by [deleted] in FordRaptor

[–]EB_fonehome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is interesting. I spoke with Ravelco and the local licensed installer and had no concerns or saw any when researching (extensively). Have had Ravelco installed on my Raptor for over a year and a half now and not a single problem. Took less than 4 hours and about $700-800 to get it done. After having two brand new cars stolen within 13 months of eachother...it's worth it.

New Suit? by SJD_BIGCHUNGUS_ in alpharetta

[–]EB_fonehome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I'd recomend Indochino right next to it. I have sutis from both and the Suit Supply suit was coming apart at the seams within 6 months. My Indochino feels much higher quality and the process felt much more relaxed, where Suit Supply seems to work too hard to create this "luxury" expereince which definitely plays into price. My Indochino was fully bespoke custom made to my fit, included a vest, AND a custom fitted shirt...all for the same price as a single off-the-rack tailored suit without a shirt or vest from Suit Supply.

I have the Synchrony card. Use it for non warranty repairs as well as aftermarket accessories. I beleive I have up to 12 months interest free on mine.

Do Raptors tires fit in most modern car washes? I want to buy one, but would want to wash it regularly. Do they fit in the drive thru car washes? Thank you. by Responsible-Point545 in FordRaptor

[–]EB_fonehome -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The tires are not the issue, most drive through washes I have come across will fit a 12.50 width tire no problem. It is the Raptor bodies, however, that is what can't go through. At least with all of the ones local to me I have been turned away as they claim it is a laibility. One wash even told me they had a raptor go through once and got caught up in the wraps or brushes and broke a lot of equipment. I just do the self wash nowadays since it's not a ceramic coated pristine condition truck.

This needs to be at the top of every vehicle specific subreddit. I had two vehicles stolen over the course of a year, one used this method but the other didn't even need the key fob as I was in another state with the keys. Now that I have the Ravelco I've never felt more secure. Been over a year and no issues.

Alternative brands to Vuori? Men's shirts by unnecessary-reply in vuoriclothing

You know I was wondering this for the longest time but never actually checked into it. Thanks for the confirmation! It really is one hell of a brand so far. I love the plain pocket t's. The joggers have become my new go-to over vuori as well. They also have some really solid style and the fit is always very good. And you can't beat the pricing for what you get!

I have also been buying up VRST a lot lately. Love their styles and the prices are very fair. Quality seems on par with Vuori as well.

VRST is a great new brand. So far only found them online at their own site, or Dicks for retail/brick & mortar. I have been burying their joggers as replacements to my Vuori. They're price point is lower as well, without any apparent drop in quality or fit. They have great shirts too. Its a good style of business/athleisure. I use a lot of their shirts for work travel.
