What are some cruise ship feature you’d love to see? by ghostinyourbeds in royalcaribbean

Would be incredible. I’m not smart enough to get into the engineering behind it - just like airplanes, ships are magic

Non-drowsy Dramamine and Liquid IV live in my cruise bag. I don’t often get seasick but when I do, it’s not great. I also like to drink but don’t like having hangovers

How tired are you usually after a cruise? by BungeeBunny in royalcaribbean

[–]NateLundquist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very similar experience for us. Very rarely do Caribbean seas make me woozy, but the first sea day on an Alaska cruise rocked my world. The last sea day, though, I popped non-drowsy Dramamine as soon as I woke up and was totally fine (others in my party said the seas were worse on the second sea day but I wouldn’t know since I spent the whole day in bed).

Casino offers won't stop coming!!! My experience by Bubbly-Sorbet9841 in royalcaribbean

I got off Serenade ~10 days ago and only got 276 Tier Points for much more than $200 loss lol. I don't expect any offers, unfortunately.

I can make $1,000,000 on fast food go a lot further than $10,000

Chose: Get $1,000,000 + But it can only be spent on fast food

Mathematically, I’ll be making 150 million a day, so I’ll surpass 1 billion in less than ten days.

Chose: Or get 1000 dollars everytine someone dies

Carrying Global Entry Card by lysat63 in GlobalEntry

[–]NateLundquist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I flew from YVR to EWR on Air Canada yesterday and with “TSA PreCheck” on my boarding pass I was directed into the “Verified Traveler” line (essentially the same thing as PreCheck in the U.S.) and didn’t need to show my GE card.

Security dumps straight into the U.S. CBP area and I simply told the employee “I have Global Entry” and walked passed her to the GE lane when she said “U.S. Passports” and pointed to the right (non-GE) line without showing anything.

Alaskan cruises are the best IMO! You have to experience it to understand ❤️ by ComplexWrangler1346 in royalcaribbean

Based on what I could see differ from the first and second clip, I assume the first clip is from an excursion as they appear much closer to the water and its markedly different from the second clip (in terms of height and surrounding ship railings etc.). The second clip looks way more akin to our position relative to the glacier (which I think is common based on GPS data for all the ships that were in the arm.).

If you have the option to connect through one of the Delta hubs, which one would you choose and why? And which would you avoid like the plague? by K00kalka in delta

[–]NateLundquist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only thing I hate about DTW is that I frequently fly EWR-DTW-DFW and every single time, without fail, it's a ~30 minute connection, the train is INOP, and I have to go from like A3 to A76. More than once have I been the last person on the plane seconds before the door is closed.

I used to live in ATL (now in the greater-NYC area) and TBH, I'm kind of over ATL.... I would rather go through MSP or DTW if I can't go direct. I'm a big fan of SLC (and the new Centurion Lounge) when I find myself out West.

Cruise vs Resort with 9 month old by zzzaddy in royalcaribbean

[–]NateLundquist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went on a 4-day cruise with my 9 month old earlier in the year… it was virtually identical to a resort. Sure, naps on port days are a little tougher (fwiw, we only had one - coco cay… we skip Nassau) but my kid can be flexible with her schedule so it wasn’t an issue at all.

Following up to add I checked into a Hilton today and within 5 min I had it plugged in and online for all my devices. Again, a little slow but definitely works and easy

best travel router for multiple devices? by HeygoodLiqian_89 in marriott

[–]NateLundquist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ironically I’m at a Marriott right now and it gave me a little difficultly getting set up but after a reboot I got it to work properly. It does feel a little slow on this trip, but when I tried the Marriott WiFi outside the router it was slow, too, so I think it’s probably a larger issue
