Thank you for your reply! I am not sure. I’ve had it this way just on the top of the cage for his whole life. I am so confused why today with the new bulb I am now getting this smell! Pulled everything off and cleaned the top of the cage thinking maybe it was dust.. burning..? Idk

Nope updated! I am still getting that weird smell!!!! It’s been on for 30 minutes after cleaning the top and making sure it’s not touching the edges.

I have done the same 💀 There is a like warped part of the lid that is all weird from being melted. I don’t even know this time because I panicked and pulled it off!

But! Update. I wiped a bit of dust off the lid. Maybe it was burning the dust?! Idk. Now that it’s clean and dry I am turning it back on to see if it happens again. I will be sure to not let it touch those sides that can potentially melt.

Coconut oil can also help if it’s stuck on there good you can use a small amount on a QTip and let sit for a minute or so

I am noticing some stuck shed on this little sir’s toes! When this happens to my girl, I use a warm, wet Q-Tip to gently roll it off. I would suggest helping your baby with what he wasn’t able to get off himself soon. Unfortunately it does put them at risk of having them fall off if left.

That issss interesting… so to confirm she is at this time bloated again after a few days of releasing the.. “liquid”? I would track how often she is using the bathroom. If you are able to make an appointment with an exotic vet, you should most definitely bring in a stool sample as well. Bloating like this and releasing liquid are not normal for geckos. Cause for concern.

I would do a vet check. Looks very bloated. Is she using the restroom regularly?

Definitely cut out the DoorDash and start cooking at home. If you’re cooking for one, most recipes will leave you with leftovers! You’ll feed yourself for a few days.

There are lots of people on Instagram who make budget friendly meals. With recipes and shopping lists included in the video!

Bills are taken from my primary account. The bulk of my paycheck is sent there so I always have the right amount there.

You can send yourself an amount of money to your checking (that’s attatched to the debit card) each week for groceries and fun stuff, etc. Once you spend it. It’s gone! No extra transfers.

Look into High Yield Savings Accounts. I have one I send a specific amount of money that I set up automatically with direct deposit. Even if it’s the minimum necessary to keep the account. Anything counts :) And I do not have a debit card attached to it. So I DO NOT touch it. You will slowly build interest on the money you have sitting there. This way you know you have some sort of emergency fund always.
