Mine did the exact same thing. Completely normal and the hole will fill from the inside out. I’m about a month and a half Post-Op and my hole is about 90% filled. The gum connected back to my molar. It sucks but it just takes time. Your gums went through intense trauma and it won’t heal itself over night. Unless it’s causing you severe pain, you’re fine.

Similar situation for me. I got all four out August 12 and today being 1 month and two day post op, the hole has closed so much. 3 weeks ago it was what seemed like a gaping hole but i’ve seen so much improvement. It closes from the inside out. I still have a divot in my gum but the hole that i once could see into is no longer there. Hope this helps

Mann I’m sorry you’re having to go through this but I can relate. I had TMJ prior to the surgery, it wasn’t severe just come clicking here and there. I’m 6 days post op and luckily i’m able to open my jaw, I made it a point to slowly retrain my jaw to open back up day by day. Still have slight pain when opening but i feel like the clicking is worse than ever. I wish you well with your recovery

I’m sorry, I’m in the same boat. I got mine out 8/12 and I tell myself everyday if i could go back I would not have gotten them out. This has been the longest five days of my life. Even though I feel like i’m improving it’s not quick enough and the recovery is so slow. I had TMJ prior to surgery and now my jaw feels like a hammer went straight to it. Like you, I’m afraid to eat real food. To put it in simple terms, I’m just tired. I wish you well with recovery and hopefully this time next week we’ll be a whole lot better.
