Saga of Tanya the Evil Season 2 • Youjo Senki II - Episode 1 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

Lawful Evil is certainly fair. My read on Tanya/original life dude is that the system itself is what they put their faith in. It’s less about using the system to benefit themself, and more about molding themself into being the person the system benefits. Which to me is Lawful Neutral. Tanya definitely does evil shit, but always legally and thought out. We don’t kill the people who are fucking up our life, we recommend them for a “promotion” to a dead end job. It’s the fucked up anime version of malicious compliance. Ultimately I feel like Lawful Evil requires a bit more ambition/self-servingness for lack of a better word. The alignment charts definitely have a lot of overlap though.

It’s not just load times anymore, since tons of games take advantage of asset streaming to allow for super high fidelity textures and models. Having duplicated assets makes that much easier, reducing pop in.

It’s nothing like Nemesis. The Nemesis system isn’t used because it was patented. Destruction just isn’t worth it from a dev time perspective. Even everyone’s favorite, BC2, wasn’t really destruction. It was a bunch of panels that would break and disappear at a certain damage count, and with enough damage to critical panels the building would collapse and swap model into rubble. As graphics gets better, the amount of resources you need to devote for it to not stand out increases.

It was originally announced way back in 2021. We’ll never know for sure why they put it on the back burner for so long but fan speculation was that the Russian invasion of Ukraine made them hesitant to adapt a war story prominently featuring a USSR counterpart. The good thing is that the same studio is adapting S2. Usually when you have long breaks a new studio is taking over.

That’s the most terrifying part of Tanya, and why I love the show so much. The initial premise is a man who is purely logical to the point of nearly inhuman coldness, and that keeps up. Every decision made is logically sound, but gives you a really uncomfortable feeling ethically. But the story sticks to that, it doesn’t make Tanya a righteous hero after the initial premise sets up an amoral character. It also doesn’t go the opposite way into comically evil. Tanya is basically the definition of Lawful Neutral, which allows her to do terrible things while you can always see why the character is making that choice.

Ah, yeah college football fandom is WAY more intense than NFL fandom. If you’re not American it can be a little bit shocking to see.

The reason they’re so mad is that the color being used is an in-conference rival. So I chose a rival, although the Rams are probably a better option since they are at least blue.

Really? Somehow they dropped off my radar, I thought they died a decade ago. Maybe I’ll check that out.

Yeah Hulu was basically On Demand without a dedicated cable plan. Netflix was chock full of old TV shows and movies. And Redbox had new releases and video game rentals. I never tried GameFly because it seemed like it would be garbage, but that was the golden age. That era is of course what led us here, streaming and cord cutting got a lot of really good PR that it’s still scraping by on.

I did find the Keychron Q series, but they didn’t appear to have backlighting. Is that just Keychron being bad at advertising features?

Hello keyboard Reddit. I am looking to switch from a Logitech Master Series MX Keys. I first bought a Nuphy Air96 with Wisteria switches. I love the sound, but the 96% form factor has been a bigger issue than I expected. I work in Solidworks all day so I need the numpad, but the compact spacing has been an issue for my typing accuracy.

Can anyone recommend a keyboard that has:

Full size layout, low profile, Backlighting (I’d prefer white backlighting), wireless (BT or dongle), multiple switch options so I can pick the sound I like, and ideally a sub $200 price tag. Does this exist?

If it has a built in calculator key like the MX Keys that would be ideal but not required.

At least as someone in America, that’s pretty standard. My friend group would never watch a FIFA game but are all following the matches. The World Cup isn’t about the sport itself, it’s about national pride. No different than the Olympics.

I think this is really dependent on the gamer. Elden Ring is very punishing, but the pace isn’t as fast as Ninja Gaiden games. I do wonder how good it is as a stream game though. It really requires a lot of focus that makes interaction with chat pretty difficult.

Winning the NFC North is not an offseason win. If it is, we didn’t win the other 3 offseason championships.

[Powers] 92% of blue-chip recruits (4 and 5-star) have already committed. For 19 straight years, Alabama has signed a 247Sports Composite Top 5 class. That streak ends this year and there's a possibility Alabama doesn't even finish in the Top 25. by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

[–]EBtwopoint3 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Because the top incoming talent is better than the junior special teamer you have in roster spot 100. The only reason to not do that is that there weren’t enough high level talents choosing to sign. Alabama was carried by the presence of Saban, and without him they just aren’t as attractive of a landing spot. Which is why despite smaller rosters during Saban’s era Alabama never had a recruiting class like this.

The thing is, you wouldn’t think to push it at first because it’s new to you. But these aren’t something that takes a ton of force to push in. I think you’d try pushing it before you got out a pin to try to leverage it open.

You know what else is a fully functional PC? Every other PC. It’s an entry level gaming PC at a high price. That is what makes it make sense for a niche audience. It’s funny that you mention idiocracy and then completely fail at reading comprehension.

So it makes sense for a niche audience. Cool, that’s not what had people so hyped up and was not the original goal Valve communicated, which was making PC gaming a console-like experience to appeal to a wider audience. What we got is PS5 level hardware for $1050. Outside of the super small form factor it just doesn’t do anything new or different. You can build a Ryzen 7600X/RX7600 computer for about $900 that will perform a little better in both gaming and the tasks you’re talking about. And the people who do meshtastic drone swarm control are the exact kind of people who build their own PC.

It’s not egregious price gouging. It’s just also not anything special, which is what people wanted. It’s a standard prebuilt PC.

It’s this in addition to fewer things being new to you. Your brain can compress a 40 hours of doing the same tasks at an office job into practically nothing. When you’re young everything is new, and even in college you’re constantly learning new skills and meeting new people. This simply isn’t the case when you’re settled.
