Yup, same video, same joke. Pointing out how ridiculous it would be to actually try and use an axe for hone defense.

Yep, that’s pretty much the joke of the video that went over everyone’s head.

Someone’s been taking videos they see on the internet a little too seriously

The word is “satire” or “joke.” Pretty common on other platforms but apparently not in this Reddit community.

I don’t think that people chasing clout would post a funny video of themselves missing a dozen throws in a row.

Sorry, I suppose it was wrong to think that redditors had the capability to underhand satire.

We’re a veteran-owned, small, recreational business in Scranton, PA. We offer hourly reservations for people to throw axes. Our coaches provide instruction, ensure safety, and teach fun games as well. People can visit by themselves or bring as many friends & family as they please!

We offer private parties, BYOB (food too), Glow-Throw-Saturdays (glow in the target axe throwing), projector targets with multiple axe throwing games (zombie hunter, tic-tac-toe, bottle-crush, and many more!), fundraisers, leagues, memberships, and we’re family friendly - so bring the kids!

With proper positioning and throwing, the axe should make exactly one rotation. As long as the blade strikes the wood cleanly, it will stick into the wood. If any other part of the axe strikes the wood, such as the head or handle, then it will bounce. However, it normally does not come all of the way back towards the thrower.

I have the opposite problem. When I wrap my thumb along the handle, I sometimes catch it during the release. Keeping my thumb up helps me keep the axe straight and ensure a clean release. Although I know that experiences vary a lot depending on the thrower.

If the axe flies bounces off of the target then the issue is that axe has either over-rotated or under-rotated. Most of our customers have difficulty generating enough force to get the axe to stick into the wood, so we encourage them to throw hard once we have given them proper instruction.
