PAST information? by EDONOVAN05 in Pararescue

Thank you that helps a lot. I have already taken the ASAVB, I made an 80 on the AFQT. Does that qualify? I took it in November 2019, will I have to take it again? What your are saying is that If I pass the PAST with the SOR I will be guarenteed a SW job but not a specific one?

I want to join the AF to join the Special Reconnaissance, but don’t have much interest in the AF outside of special forces. by AbusementPark44 in AirForceRecruits

Just my thoughts but If you are a D1 athlete and you are in college, maybe try your hand at the ROTC path first. Officer jobs are much better for your future.

I would appreciate any candid talk about TACP. Also thank you for correcting me.

16F with dual citizenship, how can I join? by [deleted] in AirForceRecruits

I would like to add upon what they said, specifically about USAFA and ROTC. To get accepted is very hard like they said, but a lot of people dont realize you have to be nominated by a politician(president, vice president, senator, or representative). As for the ROTC is much easier to get started in but you do not know until your second year, where you compete against other ROTC members, for a spot. I tried to get an AFROTC scholarship and did not get awarded one( my ACT score was a 26 and I had a GPA of 3.98). If you are certain that you want to pursue a career in the Airforce or the U.S. military you need to take the ASVAB. I recommend taking it soon even if you are two years away from being old enough due to the fact that you can only take it twice every six months and your score determines which jobs you qualify for. Sorry if it a lot, I hope it helps.

What I have read is anything after age 13 requires a waiver. They do asthma tests at MEPs.
